Anyone ever "grown' with aerogrow?

Forums:

Hi after a recent trip to the seed bank, i was thinking of starting a crop of fresh herbs, seeing as I'm a chef and basil can be hard to get year round any body ever use the 'miracle grow" hydroponic system?

My dad had one. He grew all kinds of stuff, even flowers. So it must be easy enough.

The aeroponic systems of 20 years ago had PVC pipes with holes cut out for plastic mesh baskets. Each basket was a plant site with spray nozzles to mist the roots with pressurized water/nutrient mixture at timed intervals. Apparently it worked well for culinary herbs.  There was a monthly magazine called "The Growing Edge" which focused on modern soil-less agriculture. The publishers were the same folks who did "Sinsemilla Tips" back in the day.

Perhaps they still exist?

They always had super-cool articles and photos of people's various greenhouses full of Hydro heirloom tomatoes and such.
