Beautiful painting, LLOLLO.  Love the hues of blue.

Gertrude Jekyll - bred in 1986 by David Austin.  I planted these when i lived in central, IL. Super thorny,  two of them outside my bedroom window.  One of the top ten most fragrant roses ever bred.

Joe, the rose I posted is a Gertrude Jekyll too, and the scent is amazing.

Re: note

someone needs to work on their penmanship

wouldn't that be one note you would want legible

^^^^^^I thought that looked familiar, Mike. :)   The quality and intensity of the scent is one that i am inclined to say is intoxicating.

I spent the summer of 78 an exchange student in Iran, and we'd get shaved ice with rosewater syrup poured over it. One whiff of a Gertrude Jekyll bloom takes me right back to that time.

Loving all the rose images!!!
One of my favorite flowers because of the scents, and of course Portland has amazing rose gardens to walk through on a sunny day.

It was announced before the show that TWA had failed to deliver the band's equipment and they were going to borrow the Allman Bros' gear, and first the Allmans would play a set, and then the Dead would play a set, and then they'd Jam together.

Paging Fishcane... shoot me your email, mine's in my profile. Would like to connect on the fishing biz...

Thanks, Judit! Hoping to attend a free painting gathering this eve at The Haven, Portland's new nonprofit art collective and gathering space.
Also supposed to help them as a grant writing volunteer.

I am loving the new image additions to this thread, haven't visited much this week.
Very cool to see Zoners having happy times across the ocean, too.

I'll add my attempt at making quick pickles w/ double dill -- they turned out pretty well.
I like keeping experiments in the fridge!

Is that the show where they opened with Picasso Moon? If so, I was there.

Unless it really was 2910 as in your post. smiley

Yes

They are going to repeat that night in 2910 is my understanding... it'll be a free show I was told.

That's a substantial increase over Weir's vision of the music remaining in circulation for 300 years. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

A big shift is coming in the Quantum Energy Fields. We'll all be there. Feel free to start celebrating now!

I'm  in and anxious to hear the song , In the Year 2525 , in the year 2525.

"I'm in and anxious to hear the song In the Year 2525, in the year 2525."

That's the spirit. Now we're making progress.

Teaser Alert: When I said we'll all be there, I meant it. Maybe you didn't catch him before 3/8/73, but you'll see Ronald Charles McKernan at the Jubilee, among others.

Incoming at 11 o'clock. Looking at you looking at me.

Went to a workshop this past weekend called "Writing From The Land" at Entrada Institute in Torrey, Utah. Annette McGivney, Laura Pritchett, and Jonathan Thompson, a favorite of mine. "Sagebrush Empire" is a high recommend and I subscribe to his Substack "Land Desk."

It's a bamboo rod, I fish primarily with split Bamboo and have collected them for 30 years. All except some of my 2 handers and a couple salt rods are cane. The rod today was a Heddon 8.5 foot Black Beauty, my standard rod for the beat behind my house

IMG_0905.jpeg

^^^ Please share the name of the fish!   The snout looks unusual.

"It's a bamboo rod, I fish primarily with split Bamboo and have collected them for 30 years." ... and that's why he goes by Fishcane.  daa

Do you have any two-handers from Bob Clay?

I don't have any Clay builds, although I have fished one. The only bamboo 2 hander I still have is a British grilse rod 11 footer that I use as a switch rod

fish is a Northern Pike. If you think that's an unusual snout, check out this guy from the day before... more difficult to catch

What did you think of Clay's rod.i fished with one of his daughters, Kalilie at Harbaughs Goat Ranch on Idaho's Fall River. She designed Patagonia garment and waders. The girl can fish. It's in the genes. Yvon was there too. ''Rope fly? I fished gar down on the Cumberland with Chris Nischan way back.
