News that one of the two Maryland high school students accused of raping a schoolmate was allegedly in the country unlawfully has caught the attention of the White House.
The student, 18-year-old Henry Sanchez-Milian, was arrested Thursday at Rockville High School in Rockville, Maryland, along with 17-year-old classmate Jose Montano. Both students are being charged as adults with first-degree rape and two counts each of committing a first-degree sexual offense, Montgomery County Police said.
Following Sanchez-Milian's arrest, ICE issued an immigration detainer, an order to local law enforcement to hold a suspect for a pending immigration review.
The reported rape of a high school freshman by two classmates in Rockville, Maryland, has become part of the national conversation on immigration after the two boys charged with the crime were found to be in the US illegally.
Police charged 17-year-old Jose Montano and 18-year-old Henry Sanchez with first degree rape and two counts of first degree sexual offenses after they said the two freshmen raped a 14-year-old classmate in the men’s room at Rockville High School during school hours last Thursday. Both are being charged as adults and are being held without bond.

I was taking my kids to the park this past Saturday and pulled up behind a Harley at a red light. The motorcycle had a small orange swastika sticker on either side of the license plate.

I talked to my boss at The London today. Our offices are about 200 yards from Winchester Bridge. He's pretty young, about 35. He was mildly phased, but very pragmatic about it. Not that any loss of life is acceptable, but this was no Nice, Brussels, or the Towers.

I was taking my kids to the
I was taking my kids to the park this past Saturday and pulled up behind a Harley at a red light. The motorcycle had a small orange swastika sticker on either side of the license plate.
I kept looking at them thinking I must be mis-seeing some other symbol or was missing the joke. Nope, just a straight up Neo-nazi. That was way more terrorizing to me than someone killing a few people in another state or country. I couldn't get it out of my head.
