Easter Weekend 2015 is when I drove out to the Shelter in Stroudsburg, PA. and adopted the Hound.
He's been a constant source of Fun and Amusement ever since, with a bit of extra work as well.
There he is as a young pup, maybe 9 months old in his Hometown of Truckee, CA.
At first, I thought it was a temporary arrangement and original owner might want H.I.M. back when the housing scene allowed Dogs again.
Two years later, he's got me trained to do all sorts of Human tricks. We go biking, mushing, swimming and hiking; all sorts of adventures.
The obedience school teachers laughed when I enrolled H.I.M. in basic training. He understands what you say, and does not give a hoot.
But he has evolved into a Good Canine citizen, and can now chill in the yard for a spell. Good Boy !!

BTW Easter is on a different date each year, unlike Halloween. Some years, late March, others Mid-April. I had to look it up.

Mikee,
Mikee,
It's a well-kept secret. I didn't want to talk about the Dog until I was sure he'd adapt to life in Jerseyland OK.
Bart, this hound absolutely loves loves LOVES the Snow. He can't get enough of it.
Couple shots from his first week on the Farm. He's all Blur o' Fur in the prime of hyperactivity.
There he's doing his favorite Dog Trick -- tangling the lead around the vegetation. Left for a while, he will chew through that tree, then tangle in another. Original owner had to purchase a $400 rare shrubbery to replace the one Dog shredded.

I've been really lucky in
I've been really lucky in terms of not having too many Vet visits. A couple check-ups and the one time he got a "Hay-Splinter" in his forepaw, causing an abscess. Few weeks of antibiotics and some Aloe fixed it all up.
Each Vet has basically said the same thing: "This Dog is in perfect Health. Whatever you are feeding H.I.M. keep that up."

Rock,
Rock,
I've been to one at the old location, the year NRPS played. It was a really nice time, low-key family oriented festival.
Met one of the Ladies who runs it on Maui a couple years back, she had that CJP sticker on her car. Definitely want to attend again, as they are dog-friendly.

Oooops,
Oooops,
No more doggies allowed at Camp Jam in the Pines. Just checked and see there's one May 15-18 or so, band lineups are up on their site.
Might head down for one night. We'll see when the weather looks good.

Not sure if I'm able to do this one, I went about 2 years ago, was a good time, laid back. Camped right by the lake, lots of good peeps and music. I'll revisit when it get closer and see if'n I'm gonna go.

One year the CJP had
One year the CJP had 'Southern Culture On THe Skids' as the big-name act. I forget if that was 2 or 3 years back. Had wanted to go that year but could not, one reason or another.
A shame as it is about the nearest event of its kind, maybe 25-30 miles from home.

I recently read you shouldn't camp within 100 feet of a lake, for the sake of the lake.
It may be more than 100'

Stu this husky is news to me.
Stu this husky is news to me. Please stop hiding this dog from society.
My grower friend has two husky's that love me to death every time I come over and give them allot of attention. I should signup for Dogbook and see if me & dog could get adopted together. If only I could get house trained like the dog it might be easier.
Happy BDAY to your pal.
