Toots & the Maytals or Howard Wales Trio???

I'm trying to decide between attending the HTK Trio (Howard Wales, Terry Haggerty, & Kevin Hayes) gig at Sweetwater tonight or Toots and the Maytals at UC Theatre tomorrow night.
Toots is a bucket list performer for me, so I'm leaning towards going for that, but I also love the idea of grooving to Wales's funky improv.
I figure some of you have the experience to make good recommendations.

Think they did a John Denver tune and it was the WORST cover I have ever heard from anyone. But others kind of seemed to dig them.

Toots brings it every time I have seen him. Will be seeing him next week at the Roseland. It will be the first time I have seen him since he was knocked out of commission for a few years after the vodka bottle to the head incident. I hope they locked that dude up with the biggest, baddest Jamaicans in the whole prison system.

FWIW, I heard HWT's on KPFA's recent GD Marathon and they sounded very good. These guys are no slouches. Fun night in Mill Valley (watch the drive home).
That being said, Toots in the East Bay is so much easier. See you there!
