Gregg Allman in hospice?

I read that it hasn't been confirmed.

(Relix journalism should be a "category of things that need to be further researched".)

Baked News?

Travis Tritt tweeted something.

Travis Tritt's tweet (say that 5 times fast): https://twitter.com/Travistritt/status/856407673377505280

This is the initial post giving rise to the Relix post: http://97x.com/gregg-allman-enters-hospice/

Hoping for the best.

Rest easy Greg........rest easy.

Thoughts and prayers, Gregg & ABB have been such a core part of my musical foundation since first seeing him play in 78, then a reunited ABB at the Spectrum in 1979 and dozens of times since.  May you find the peace you deserve.

I heard it's a rumor.

I like the song midnight rider.

Fuck Relix...

A message from Gregg: “Hey everyone. I just wanted y’all to know that I’m currently home in Savannah resting on my doctor’s orders. I want to thank you for all the love that you are sending. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Keep Rockin’"

Good to know he's okay, thanks.

Shappy getting into the fake news game.

I realize that Relix doesn't hold itself to any kind of journalistic standards but publishing this without doing any checking seems low by even their standards.

This is the Viva la Zone rule that applies to this thread:  ... purposely disruptive secondhand information, unsubstantiated hearsay, gossip, ugly rumors

Translation:  Give the family some room and respect while Greg spends his last days on earth.

According to Michael Allman on FB on 4/29, he was going to see his Dad but Gregg had an appointment at the Mayo Clinic.

Let's hope for the best.

Jonas is wise.

Gregg Allman’s Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King

God Rest His Soul

On April 4, 1968, when Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated, Gregg and Duane Allman were ending their time as the group, The Hourglass.  In tribute to Dr. King, Gregg wrote and then recorded, “God Rest His Soul”, with brother Duane and their friend Butch Trucks who was in the band, The 31st Of February.

“For the man they loves so well.
Oh Lord, Lord.
But Lord knows I can’t change what I saw
I say God rest his soul.”
–  Gregg Allman

Warren and Derek went together to pay Gregg a visit at home about two weeks ago. Warren just said in a Jambase interview, "Gregg is resting at home and needs our positive thoughts."

Looks like the clock is ticking. :(
