Hi Jamjuice heart

Judit, Hi lovey,... will see you at the June Hootenanny.  We'll have a hug or 10.

Oh good. Hugs with you sounds delicious.

Karl Denson playing GD puts a smile on my face, but I love Traffic so I dig some rock flute.

Me, too, Across, all of what you said.

Enc: One more Saturday Night! (NC, RJ)

Phil Lesh, Karl Denson, Robert Randolph, Neal Casal, Ross James, Jason Crosby, Tony Leone, and Alex Koford.

Awesome song selection. Looking forward to some reviews?...... and checking out the youtubes.

Well that was a fun little time!

Loved Midnight Rider. Big energy.

Jazz sound

Via stream: both nights had a lot of energy, especially last night.

I thought the ensembles were smooth, weaving the sound into a cohesive fabric, exciting. Fun. Not psychedelic, but good unpredictable happening music. Tonight more jazzy, last night more strut.

Thanks, Phil.

I hope you all had a great time. I know I did on Friday night.  The band had good ears fo each other both nights.

So much musical input on that stage with delightful cohesion.

We had such a great time last night- the crowd, the energy, everything surrounded in love from my perspective. ;)

Phil's opening remarks about Gregg set the tone for the night. Midnight Rider high good good energy.

Thank you Phil and Friends!!

What did he say about Greg?

Looks great!

Oh, shit.

Rest in peace, Gregg Allman

Whats the search term on Ustream for nnJimmy?

Fantastic two nights at The Cap..I owe many a beverage to whoever convinced Phil to return to playing the songs at the correct tempos (or at least a lot closer to the original tempos than Furthur, other P&F ensembles, and Dead and Co.) ..so refreshing and really added to the energy inside the place..

good to see phil rocking but i turned it off. i can't do robert randolph.

He had a little more freedom last night, but was definitely on a leash to solo when called upon.. wasn't all over the place playing non stop for a couple of hours..I've been through that, not my thing..thought he was exceptional  the last two nights..

Two of the best shows I have seen since the old Q. Randolph was excellent addition the energy on the floor last night was even higher than night one which is saying a lot! Phil keep it coming!

Phil kicks ass!

That lineup worked for me.

Ross James is a total hack.  His vocals are more than cringe worthy.  Put on Rock & Roll Animal is you want to hear the real thing.

I listened to all of the 2nd set.  I wrote 2 paragraphs about it but decided not to post it. i wrote another paragraph and again decided not to post it. Phil, Neal and Crosby were bright spots on a otherwise questionably cloudy day. Band is missing a wailing guitarist and a rocking drummer. I know, opinions and assholes......

i caught a song of phil and dead&co, turned off after each tune.

i thought both were cringe worthy, laughable at how bad both bands were. amateur hour on the phil stage, sounded like like a $5 bar band.

dead&co is just the bobby party w/ the drummers playing w/ pancakes and john mayer prancing around. pretty strange. never was my cup of tea the bobby show.

guess im off the bus.

For me that second night was off the charts. After we learned about Gregg Allman's passing, I was prepared for some tribute content, but I was not expecting Phil's very heavy mood.

Box of Rain opened the emotional floodgate for the remainder of the first set, which was just random songs but played with an emotional content far out of proportion to the setlist. Phil just hurled himself into the music. The structure was consolation and the playing was catharsis, if that makes any sense.

After that Box, the Here Comes Sunshine with lead flute was the first set highlight for me. Loser was also very emotional for some reason, when Koford sang the "sweet Susie" variant it all welled up again. Missing Jerry at that point for sure.

Really LOVE The Here Comes Sunshine !!!
