Witnessed them in Montreal last night.

The continued lack of new material continues to disappoint - but with a career spanning setlist like this - it is very hard to complain.

Visually - they are still one of the best touring outfits out there. (even if Maynard hides in the shadows).

No encore (as usual) as they give it all to you and then bow and walk away. Setlist is very similar to the few shows they did last year - without the No Quarter opener.

Danny Carey is one of the most absolutely amazing drummers I have ever seen/heard - and I would love to see him get a drum slot in King Crimson for a tour. It would KILL.

The last thing I would want to hear as a musician is "Visually they were amazing" or "The light show was fantastic".

I understand that Mr. timpane, but when I say those things - it's because, in my opinion, the music is so good it is a given. I think most Tool fans would agree.

Further, Maynard has a degree in design and makes a point of combining visual arts with the music they perform. I am sure he would be pleased to know that fans find their performances visually stunning.

Have a great time, Turtle. The openers were quirky, but Tool delivered.

You're probably right.

Every once and a while I am. lol

Do the Tool fans have a name for themselves?

Toolbits, Toolbags?

>>Do the Tool fans have a name for themselves?

Yes, they call themselves Tool fans.

Just don't run onstage and approach Maynard, like this guy:

Never listed to them. I went to two shows Reno & the BGCC a couple years ago. Didn't get the groove the first one but at the second I found it and danced those Tools (Tool fans) into the BGCC floor.

The Alex Grey imagery was excellent

The love and camaraderie among the fans reminded me of deadheads.

How long were the sets and drum solo?

Were Toolies gettin' irie during lights out intermission?

So they started the second set with a drum solo?

Looks like a fun show!
