It's just a night out for most. Have a sip, hit, a hit, or whatever. No biggie. Don't think many are into it for anything more. Maybe???
Just like Phil's gigs.....nothing special. A good time out.....nothing life-changing!
All this shit is old, including phish. Go and have fun. If not, it's all good, they'll all be able to still put gas in the sports cars of their great great great great great great grandchildren. And they deserve it in my book!
Hooper I get that now, didn't really see that before. Thanks for the response. Its just that this music has always been life changing for me, rather than a good time. Hard to embrace the change.

No doubt about it being life changing back then. Not so much since the end is all I meant. Doesn't mean there haven't been strong tours or shows since the end because there definitely have been. From all members!
Louie Lardo and I just happened to have nearly the same PRS. At one of the Zoner Jams, at some point he looked over and noticed, gave the biggest grin, said "Nice guitar!" with a wink, and proceeded to cut loose.
I did some work for the guy that does the inlays and delicate wood work for PRS on their high end custom guitars. His real gig is carving birds and is one of the best at what he does
Actually one of the better setlists they've done IMHO - some jamming (Playin', New Speedway, Fire), no post drums Jerry ballad Shatnered by Bobby (yes I actually like his dirge rendition of Hard Rain, far better than Jackie's shouted version, Chris Robinson's Rock Star version where he forgot the words & blew it off after 2-1/2 verses, or even Panic's "happy" version), then a Playin' reprise with a few min's of "jamming". Only real blight is the Mayernnaised US Blues. Far stronger setlist than Saratoga anyway.
Still, not jealous about missing it, nor any desire to see any more shows on my part . . .
