If you have the periscope app, theres a cpl real quality "scopes" right now...just search deadco...

Ramble on...

h2ogirlnora sounds good on Mixlr also.  Except I'm out of 4G data (end of month) and buffering constantly.

After brown eyed...

Ramble on Rose

TLEO

Rooster

While always a huge fan of post - modern versions of Rooster, the buffering detracts from my thrills.

So I'm going to run the mower by the barns and make the best of remaining light.  I can always catch the 'Rooster' on Archive.

Can Mayer play slide?

Get down, Lynn!

Cumberlyn called this.

Said she was going tonight and they would play it.

Good for you, Lyn!

Cumby soundin good

You cant always get what ya want, but Cumby gets what she needs!

After rooster...

Big Boss Man

Cumberland

I posted my rewording of Cumberland blues a month ago, it couldn't have sank any faster on the page, lol, but here it is again (though today's Dead/co version is a bit faster!)

Cumberland Snooze

I can't play much slower Melinda, the tempo's going to die

I can't help you with your rhythms, if the brakes are so applied

we gotta speed up, we gotta speed up, or the dancers will drop like flyiiiiieeees

You keep it up just one more night, I can't stop here no more

Little Ben clock says quarter (notes) not eight (notes),  you kept me up till four

we gotta speed up, we gotta speed up, I can't stay awake no more (snooooorrrrreeeee)

Lotta poor man pays a hundred dollar bill,  Will get him into the show most of the time

Some other fellers paying nothing at all, and you can hear him cry (sigh)

It's too slow buddy, It's too slow,  stopping light and time

Gotta speed up to the Cumberland mine (gotta speed up to the cumberland mine)

That's where I mainly lost my time (crime, whine)

Make good tempos, and maybe i'll pay,  If it gets any slower I might move away (hey,  way)

A lot of dancers got the Cumberland blues, we can't win for snoozing,

Lot a dancers want to speed up that time, just so they can dance the blues

I don't know now, I just don't know, If i'm coming back again,

I might snore now, I just might snore, if tempos are freaking slow again,

I might snore now, it's just a bore, with these wakey bakey times

wink  .,.,

Good Stuff.  Reminded me of the Terra Poop lyrics from years ago, want to go find that now

Yeah Lyn was all psyched for a Cumby & I had to remind her "It's DeadCo, nothing they do is worth getting psyched about"

Call me Buzz Killington lol

Ha Ha just finished Panic 1st set & tuned in just in time for end of KC Jones

nnJimmy is showing Phil from last night at set break now.

Yeah I shut that crap off immediately, back to Bill Laswell dub albums for me for a half hour

That was horrible. Mayer has no idea how to build a solo, and his voice sucks. The songs turn into unidentifiable mush sometimes. The setlist was horrid. Wtf?!

Good night.

Damn, 97.2 million Google search results - lyrics w/ "poop" in them . . . .

Wow Floops w/Edge - I like ;)

Actually Panic setbreak music is always pretty Edgy . . . may go w/that so I don't miss beginning of 2nd set . . .

>>>>>>> Mayer has no idea how to build a solo, and his voice sucks.

That's exactly how I feel about Jackie Greene too, so pretty much why I consider them to be on the same level as far as playing GD music (whilst Jackie's solo music is light years better than John's)

And oh yeah, neither have a Psychedelic bone in their bodies.

Hmmmm...maybe ill do panic second set...heard a cpl tunes the other night during a deadco break...but, havent listened to a whole second in  a while...

Oh, and...gnight, Floops.

Panic has lost their "Edge" as well since they don't tour anymore.  These 1-off clumps of shows they always sound pretty rusty & the shows tend to be inconsistent, lots of stop/starts, crappy songs in the heart of the 2nd set, etc - last night - 2nd set was pretty good up to drums then - Space Wrangler?  Eh  Then Tail Dragger? - Yeah, the 1st 10,000 times I heard that song I thought it was cool . . .

^lol sideshow

I guess its a coin flip, then...

And....deadco it is....(i gotta watch drums and beam, anyway...;))

<<<nnJimmy is showing Phil from last night at set break now.>>>

Thanks shuffle I was wondering.

Panic 2nd set opener:  KILLER transition Greta -> All Time Low;  DeadCo could NEVER pull off something requiring that much musical focus/tightness . . .

Too bad. That TFB Morning Dew was sounding good.

Deal

Panic was NEVER a band worth spending any time on....

Opinions are like Assholes

^^just like family band and dead&co. oh my!

I mean, sure, I'd like to find a band I like better than Panic but just can't seem to.  Other jambands?  Nah, all Sat Morning Cartoon Music like Phish.  Jazz?  Sure, I find stuff here & there.  Mule?  Yeah I'm a fan but wouldn't consider them a jamband.  Wilco?  Getting to like them but still don't really like their take on Alt-Country, much prefer Ryan Adams.  Phil/Dead Co? - Yeah that ship has left the harbor a while ago . . . All those Hipster bands that sound like Gregorian chants - MM Jacket, Spoon, War on Drugs, Bon Iver, Father John Misty, that band w/Horses in it's name?  While I like the instrumentation, just can't get past the Whiny singing/dirge like pace of the songs.  Pop acts like Tom Petty, Steve Miller, U2, Pearl Jam, etc, etc?  No, just not into the Karaoke thing . . . Oh and the WORST genre of all, that pop/faux/Americana of Avett Bros/ Lumineers/ Mumford & Sons - WAY no thanks to that, I'm pissed enuff that The Duhks are no longer an ongoing entity as all their members are now part of those fore-mentioned bands, can't blame them for wanting to make a living tho . . .

Not bad...once again wheel has flat tire...that song has Got  to go...just take it out of repitiore...but, they are gettin better....

Give em a few more summers....;)

That Wheel -> Stir it up thang was kraptacular.

"Did Fitzman get in?"

Yes.

I liked the Deal,

It was good time on the lawn,

A gorgeous evening in Camden.

I had a Fitzman sighting

and got to hang with Box.

And a big thanks to 710 for delivering someone's miracle

My friend who has been on the entire tour was shut out last night.

He said it was the toughest ticket of the whole tour so far.

He had $ to pay for a ticket, but could not find anything.  Was offered a Lawn for $200 and he wisely passed.

Crazy!

That is crazy.

Crazy is your friend is on the entire tour....................

Went with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.  Thought the performance was solid (even John Mayer didn't bother me).  My only setlist complaint was Little Red Rooster naturally (some things never change)  And I admit that Bob does sing a nice Stella blue.

Weather was perfect, scene was a scream, and I'm ready to do it again next summer.

Glad you got in there Mr. Fitzman !!

Gorgeous day for an outdoor show.

Hope you found your $40.00 lawn seat.

Sunset from the lawn...

Show was excellent..F the haters .Mayer rips...nice pic Thom

Hello Stu - man......

Even better, scanned in for free :)  Just when I thought I was out, they PULLED me back in........

Just wrapped up catching 5 shows on East Coast (Fenway's, SPAC, Citi and Camden). All big fun. Most played at high levels and all in great weather. Outd oors in good weather with Grateful Dead music being played very loudly. Strong ingredients.

A few bumps (last nights 1st set was the lowest energy of all, but still tasty - last minute Weir switched from Black Throated Wind to Red Rooster - would've preferred BTW), but wildly better and better as time went on.

Acoustic songs in Fenway were outstanding and worth listening to over and over again!

Camden's outside scene was reminiscent of old days down the homestretch of the GD with hundreds (if not more) people all looking for a ticket.

On ride home to CNY, looked up their 2016 summer tour stats: had to sell more than 410,000 tickets and gross over $35M. Did 5 shows then and 5 now, have to say each of this runs 5 I went to had MORE people.

Little and well deserved break in the live music action now. Next up, JRAD @ Cap. While tired, already looking forward to it!

Wow, that much demand for this band, well I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the Gull-E-Bull-Ity of peeps, considering who is President right now . . .

Was offered a Lawn for $200<<

LOL.

Well, not really OL; but I did nearly snarf some Firecraker Chicken through my nose.

Ah, of course.  Dead$Co's popularity represents the stupidity of Trump America.  You'd be hard pressed to find a Trump voter at one of their shows but it still makes perfect sense.

Hey Tom, plenty of trumptards to go around.

It's not strictly political. It has to do with our society's increasing drive to live in a synthetic recreation of the world instead of the world, itself.

We're all going to Disneyland, whether we like it or not.

Who doesn't like Disneyland?

>Who doesn't like Disneyland?

Never been, but not a fan of Disney world.

Disneyworld doesn't have the small theater vibe.

^Nice one

<<<A few bumps (last nights 1st set was the lowest energy of all

"DeadCo......a little cocaine may help"

I listened to the show again this morning.  Although, I previously stated the performance was solid, I cannot get over how SLOW every song was played.   Don' t think even strung out Jerry could play that slow......yikes!  So I guess my enjoyment of the night came from the entirety of the day; music least of all to be completely honest.  Glad it was free laugh

When Jerry was strung out he played FAST.  That was the Speed part of the Speedball working . . .

Fitz...glad you got in :) It was more about the  experience, day, vibe  than the music for once for me. I went in with an attitude of just being there and watching my nephew have a good experience, did not expect much...it was fun and I was def high on the vibe of the day and folks we met for sure.

When Cumbie came on I realized why they play so slow, so us old folks can actually dance and keep up...lol !  It was so slow I could hear the notes forming before they were played ...;)

I was grateful as I just can't dance like that anymore .

MArkd   shows i went too were not loud at all,  they were very slow. I had many friends from the west who saw a few out there and flew out for these. They even said it was boring. Bobby is in fine form, he rocks!! JM needs to go away,  i hope this band goes away, i miss furthur , TOO The Q, and others.  I would rather and happily go see bobby acoustic than any of this. as i said to friends as i walked out of the buzzkill that was the  SPAC show, "I hope this isn't what it has come to"...   7 TTB Tuna Woods brothers shows up for me.

I miss Phil with good line ups also Neil, and also Furthur and Q too :(  .  These were my sentiments as well, but we knew it was coming !!
