Stunning SoMa Penthouse Sends SF Real Estate Price Into The Stratosphere

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) — High-rise living 70 floors up, with eye-popping, 360-degree views will truly be a first for San Francisco.

We’re talking about the penthouse at 181 Fremont, a skyscraper in the heart of the SoMa neighborhood.

The master bedroom has two wings. There are 7 baths — even a butler’s pantry. All spread across 7,000 square feet.

And it comes at an eye-popping price, too: $42 million.

Aren't they overdue for a massive earthquake in SF?

SoMa?  "Land of Ruin"?

That's all I could think too, Ken.

That city is exploding.   Seems vulnerable with such growth.

I blame the Giants.

Another Thom deflection thread.

Slacker, you know Hunter Pence owns an apartment in that tower that's leaning in SF?

And that he bought said apartment from Joe Montana, before it was discovered that the building is fucked up and leaning?

And the Giants had their first non-sellout at the park last night, since, I think, when it opened?

I'm sure all these things will affect whatever billionaire buys that penthouse. (Live on the 70th floor in earthquake country?

I'll pass and stay in Stinson, where I'll just get wiped out by the tsunami after the earthquake).

Only the fittest of the fittest shall survive

Stay alive

Thom can't define conservatism without google

Lived in SoMa on 3rd and Brannan right across the street from Zeke's sports bar. Had a little studio back in late 1990's before ball park was finished. Good times!

SF become a bunch of rich tools and techie lackeys running around drunk throwing up all over the place. Plus gang-bangers from Richmond/east bay like to play target practice with each other after getting out of SoMa night clubs.

Soma great eats in SoMa are Deli Board (Boca) and Primo Patio (Calamari) to die for!

Are there gangs in San Francisco?

thom this is "good", no?

free market....

economy....

you should be celebrating. your "team" is winning.

'merica.

Lotta good times in Soma. Dancing with strikingly pretty transsexuals at the End Up. Carl the crack dealer who could sing like Elvis (Elvis on crack, but still). Helping my friend Bob negotiate homeless bums out of his car in the morning, a car they would eventually torch because of his cross language. Caribbean Zone. It goes on. Good times in the land of ruin for sure.

The print shop i worked at moved from Main and Howard to the building on Howard connected to Carribean Zone.

Back door was next to the front door. Many after work beers and bowls in or next to the plane.

Always curious what happened to the plane. I mean, somebody has to have it.

They should have given it to Adventure Playground at Berkeley Marina.

Caribbean Zone that was the place with the plane that my brothers and I couldn't remember the name of. Lots of good drunken times there. Running into drunken bachelorette parties at Gordon Biersch all the time. Covered Wagon for 70's night. Max's diner on 3rd was the shit.

Some of my other current favorite soma eats are Rocco's Cafe (Linguine & clams), Tu Lan (Imperial Rolls), Dottie True Blue Cafe (Breakfast) and SoMa Street Food Park (Rotating Food Trucks).

Living in your head for free.  You really do need to get a life.

"Thom can't define conservatism without google"

Get back to me when you've read some Kirk.  Loser.

"you should be celebrating. your "team" is winning."

Apparently some of you are a lot more concerned about things then I am.   The idea of being on a "team" in this context is about as ridiculous as one could get.  But then, I have to consider the source.

I gave up on politics as soon as Obama was re-elected.  What's your excuse? You want to holdout with hope for those idiots be my guest.  But please leave me out of it.

lol edit lol

>>>>>>> some of you are a lot more concerned about things then I am

Yeah, being witness to the Death of our Nation is quite Concerning, no Fuckin' Shit.

It's that ivory tower thing, I guess.

i registered peace and freedom at 18, so know well the game is rigged since I was a wee teenager....you are the one with constant cut/paste inflammatory articles that you know good damn well are nothing more than troll posts. so plllleassse spare me the "i'm over it" bit.

dems/repubs are basically 2 right wings. one just barely a little bit more socially conscious than the other.

i like america, as i assume you do...

if you cannot see that the erosion of our constitution and liberties is under assault mostly from "conservatives"...you really are blind.

i mean, you really fucking think bankers, corporations, religious fanatics, and billonaires are giving huge soms of cash to political parties across the nation to make your and my life better.??.....i really don't know what to tell you.

there ARE 2 teams.

corporate fascists and americans.

pick.
