Things are heating up. Been hearing Giants are front runners for Meloncon and JD Martinez.
Wondering who is on trading block. Tigers don't need a 1B so Belt doesn't work. Thinking maybe Panik? I can't see anyone else. Who would be attractive or tradable? Maybe some pitchers? Send away the future again. (probably an over reaction as I don't think we have too many great arms in the minors)
Gonna be interesting. Wonder what Pittsburg is asking for McCutchen. But JD would fit perfectly.
And Meloncon makes the most sense in the CL category. Maybe add another stud to bullpen also. Look to KCR.
I love this time of year. (in the baseball world, not so much otherwise).

My team is active in the AARP shopping. I like the deals picking up RA Dickie and Bartolo Colon but I think we should have signed someone like Peavy or Weaver as opposed to trading for Jaime Garcia. No way they give up Dansby Swanson for Sale but could give up Albies,Mallex Smith and possibly Mike Foltynewicz. They are also talking about Archer from Tampa but would not like to see them overpay for a 19 loss pitcher.

And yeah, I just have nothing for the WBC. It's meaningless and it totally messes with MLB, in my opinion far more than the powers want to let on.
Ultimately I wouldn't give it a first thought if no Giants participated, but two, and probably three are this year and I don't like that.
I continue to worry about Buster, if Crawford gets hurt they're doomed and Cueto absolutely does not need to be ramping up to 100% and throwing seeds in meaningless games in March, especially because he's so far behind in training already.
