Yeah, even if the south had separated and formed its own nation there wouldn't still be slavery today. 

Getting a bit of backlash but it's an interesting concept. 

sounds fun to me.

we all watch plenty of things about stuff that never happened or happens.

and personally, i love alternate timeline theories.

there will be a great dystopian civil war story on tv that will immediatly give birth to a dystopian civil war story that will play out on tumblr, facebook and twitter. its going to be like getting 2 dystopian civil war stories at once. what a deal!

Philip K. Dick's "Man in the High Castle" involved an alternate history wherein the Germans and Japanese won WWII, but that didn't stir up any controversy when it was recently made into a mini-series..
