Did I miss the "ignore " feature?

I think we can all agree that one essential part of any successful community is the ability to completely ignore and disregard even the most inconsequential comments from a vast majority of the people in said community.

i know I speak for everyone here when I say we await with baited breath the availability of this most basic and essential right that should be afforded to each and every member of the global internet community. 

Except Michigan fans. Fuck them. They should be banned immediately with no consideration of access to the ignore button or any other feature of a message board, Bunch of twats.

Why is there a need to have such a feature? Folks should possess the ability to ignore things without such a feature. Thom does it in just about every thread he posts in. Maybe he can give a tutorial

For those of you who were asking to have things spelled out in advance, there will be active moderation. There are moderators who are Zoners who will let me - judit(adminj) - know if they see something noteworthy and I will take a look to see what’s going on. I expect there’s going to be some settling in and settling down for the first little while and that we’ll figure out what works for all of us. Lava and HeyDavey will have a voice as they feel moved.

Most people and most threads are just fine the way they’ve always been. 

Don’t shit where you live. If you really blow it, the process is: first step, an email, second step a month time-out, and third, you’re out.

Please use the Contact page, link on the left, to get in touch with Admins. Use this contact form if you have an issue with the site itself, or if you have a problem with another Zoner. It should make it a smooth and efficient process.  We will respond.

We have a Formatting page, link on the left, filled with guides, how-tos, and tips to help you with the new features on this site (like the new editor!). We also have threads in the Techie Talk folder for reference, and for testing the new features. 

We will have a .com home page in the future a lot like the Philzone.com page, but it will take time to build that, time we are devoting to getting the .org message board up and running.

well that's all well and good but it's pretty obvious in this thread alone that there are people here with serious issues. It's one thing to run into wooks when they are in a drum circle at the local farmers market, but if I want to get information on the new kick ass Dead & Co tour dates, I don't want to have to rub up against all of the foaming-at-the-mouth-types to get there.

Fresh pasta is great. I make it from time to time. It's really basic and not too hard, just takes awhile to roll it out and shape it. But I get the chef's point: the ingredients in pasta (or dough) are really basic and do not change much at all. It's the toppings or sauce creations that vary and make the dish interesting and unique. Unless, like my daughter, you prefer your pasta with butter alone.

Let's not lose focus on what's important here, and that is that Italians are mongrels, their food notwithstanding.

It was a highly touted feature some had hoped for, just break the news and admit there will NOT be an ignore feature coming and some folks will just have to tough it out.

While ignorance might be bliss, I wouldn't call it a feature...

Some would claim to want to use it for those that are annoying to some, then never ever use the ignore feature because they just have to see what the annoying has to say.
