Yet another Amazing Junque-Store score...

Forums:

So I went to the Sallie-Anne's  yesterday and grabbed a couple throwaway Electronic items.

One is the Absolute Prize:  a "Tivoli Audio Music System".  Same folks up in Mass. who put out Tivoli Model One etc.  in conjunction with Mr. Kloss.

It is the size of a skinny cinder-block,  and has a CD player, AM-FM radio and digital clock,  wrapped in genuine Cherry veneer.

The beauty is that there are two stereo speakers on the face and a  mini-woofer underneath.

Thing just sounds great for such a tiny item smileycheekykiss

Looks just like this one here  (no that is not my photo).

also,  mine did not include the remote.  But it plays,  and the nice folks in Mass sent me a .PDF of the manual, so I can set the digital clock.

Stu's gonna dance with Sallie Anne

Stu's gonna hold her tremblin' hand . . .

Thiang-O sounds really fantastic.  They went for liek, 400 beans back in the day.

I like the subtle Shaker - Tesla design of the front panel.  Really subdued and symmetrical.  It's Genuine Cherry veneer;  not vinyl cherry.

On the back panel there are inputs for AM / FM antennae,  AUX-in,  Qwazy stuff. It is the most glorious clock-radio I've ever had.

what did you pay?

Mr.  LiquidMonkey,

I paid  $19.99 plus sales tax for that item.  A Wonderful deal,  so I think.

Ms.  Seitan tempted me during the test - run.

I found a CD of Carole King's  "Tapestry"  to check it out.  Sounded very nice,  and the Devil said "Go on and thieve that Disc angel ... no one will will ever know, Disco Stu."

However,  if I wind up in Heck,  it has to be a more prestigious Heist  than that.

I put 'Tapestry'  back in the jewel case and on the rack.  Someone else can benefit  from that recording,  I hope.

Seitan will find a better Scam for me inn the future,  I'm Sure.

So it was a Moral Dilemna for me at the time.  The Deeebil said "Steal Carole King Tapestry CD" while little Angel said "Noooo DS you'll go to Heck !! "

We are off to a whole town garage sale tomorrow in Ferndale ca .......see what we can find ....
