Just dropping by with good wishes for everyone in the new year. It`s winter in the Faraway Hills and I`m still on my feet. The dragon was slayed several years ago with an 8 week cure, and I have some other medical issues that come with age (76). I was hospitalized at xmas time with a heart condition that was rectified but they put me on blood thinning pills for the rest of my life. No pain. Then there`s an operation for cataract coming up and they put me on the waiting list for hearing aid. I don`t feel sick at all and my everyday life is just as fine as before.
All the best to everyone from Lodbrok in Norway.

Hey now Pelle. Good that you
Hey now Pelle. Good that you are keeping on top of all those things that happen to us as we get older. Sounds like they are taking good care of you. You are lucky you don't live here in Nazi-ville. I am lucky enough to have a medicare supplement that is provided to me by the Electrical Workers Union. But I still have no vision or dental ins. I need a bunch of dental work to do but cannot afford it. I am hanging in there after my mild heart attack a few yrs ago. No blood thinners for me, but I am taking a non statin cholesterol med. And a baby aspirin each day (I guess that is a blood thinner too). All in all I am doing well. My family concern is for my pup Nellie. She has arthritis really bad and needs a hip replacement. We are trying to deal with it through meds.
All the best to everyone from MarkD in Kelseyville, Ca.

Mark, have you looked into getting the work done in Mexico? My understanding is that prices down there are a fraction of what it costs in the States, and with some research, you should be able to find some quality providers. I mention this because I found out the hard way a few years back that poor dental health has a tendency to lead to other health problems.

Thanks Mike. I have thought
Thanks Mike. I have thought of going to Mexico to get the work done. And I have a friend that lives in Thailand. He has been after me to visit. Same situation there. But I might just be to old and lazy to deal with it.

Howdy, Pelle, Mark and Mike.
Howdy, Pelle, Mark and Mike. Nice group.
Dental health can affect heart health, as I'm sure you know, but thought I'd say anyway.
Pelle, I've had a couple of cataract surgeries, I think they were a good idea for me. I can see better!
Love to all.

Judit, I got a call from the
Judit, I got a call from the hospital last November for that surgery, as another customer had canceled his appointment at the eye clinic and left a free spot in their time schedule on the next day. I was busy taking part in a seminar on old folk music styles way over by the Swedish border at the time, and had to turn down the offer. I haven`t heard from them since then, but I have another appointment, a routine control on February 3 that was set up a long time ago. So I`ll ask them if I should send in their sleeping bags and maybe sing them a song.
