Trump's complete lack of understanding of geopolitics and history is appalling. He opens his mouth and destroys carefully crafted diplomatically nuanced agreements, years of negotiations gone in a few sentences. Suggesting that Egypt and Jordan should absorb the population of Gaza was met with outright rejection. These somewhat stable countries do not want 2M refugees, some who are radicalized and will potentially destabilize the receiving countries. Taking it a step further and suggesting that the US should take over Gaza, that's just asinine. Arms length aid to the Gaza population, keep our US Citizens at a safe distance, while helping the non-combatant population of the territory, to eat, survive and rebuild is the only sane approach. Ignore what the idiot says and pay attention to facts on the ground. The Israelis will get their security arrangements and the Palestinians Civilians will be damned. Hamas attacking the Israeli Civilians on Oct. 7, 2023 wasn't such a good strategy.

There's no chance that this
There's absolutely no chance that this is going to happen, and Trump knows it. It's just more bloated, empty, fake blather that he uses to get a knee-jerk reaction, like the tariffs on Canada & Mexico, and then while he pontificates about his greatness he quietly slides in his real maneuver while everyone is busy railing about his crazy "plans" that get all the attention.
Trump is at best 90% show, 10% go. Unfortunately, everyone is always focused on and freaking out about the loud 90% show, while that real 10% is some quietly dark, nasty, self-serving shit.
It's vitally important to remember that essentially the dude is a simple con man, which means that almost nothing he says is true or real and that he has zero intention of actually doing virtually anything he says he's going to do.
The key is to stay calm and look beyond the endless blather to see what he and more importantly his people are actually doing.

This is true, but he said it sitting next to Bibi which means Israel has a green light to do whatever they want to do in Gaza and the West Bank because no matter what they do it won't be more extreme than this, and every time there are casualties Trump will just say they shouldn't be there and they need to move to Jordan or Egypt.
It also puts a huge target on the US and will inspire millions of people to step up there attempts at bombing us, which is going to happen right as we gut the CIA and FBI of brown people. But not to worry I'm sure bible Joe from Idaho will be just as good at infiltrating those terror networks as all the woke people he is replacing.
