Thanks for the kind thoughts, folks.  Always appreciated.

Did most of my celebrating a day early on Sunday night, enjoying drinks, dinner, cake, and a Bond flick (Spectre) with my sister and brother-in-law at their place. 

Monday was a working birthday.  I didn't have to go to the tropics, as this year they came to me.  After having temps down in the lower teens just a week ago, it hit 61 here yesterday,.  As the building's heat is still set on a high cycle and it was overcast with high humidity and periods of rain, we had to deal with some condensation off a cold water pipe that runs through my store to run the theater's sprinkler system a floor above us.   It kind of created a rainforest atmosphere, but we moved some things around, covered some product up with old newspapers, and managed to avoid any major damage to our stock.  The building super is going to insulate the rest of the pipe that isn't already, and that should take care of the issue.

Going up and down a ladder multiple times to wipe off said dripping pipes wasn't good for my achy knee and shoulder, so I just called it a day and got to sleep early instead of going to the Blue Moon to catch the Andy Coe Band's set of Dead tunes.  Hoping the dripping pipes and achy knees aren't some sort of weird portentous omen for the coming year, but I'm hoping to get to a more positive resolution with both.  It's tough not even being able to walk a couple of blocks to a show, much less traveling far and wide.

Tom, I do hope to see you and other familiar Zoner faces again soon.  I have my first appointment with a rehab specialist tomorrow, and hopefully he's got some useful suggestions for my gimpy knee.
