What a great time !!
 Crazy how long ago :)

Indeed it was! I take that ride again gladly heart

that year ho4phil saw all but 8 shows

One of the really sweet things about this time was getting soundboards a few weeks after the shows. My CD burner was working overtime back then.

Great era!

April Fools Day bar shoe with five St Stephen teases. By the 4th one, I knew they weren't going to drop (F-off Phil) it that night.

Even a fool on fools' day figures it out eventually.

Those were some of the happiest times of my life

When seeing the Q felt like a dirty little secret and the same bunch of us got to know each other at least by sight for being at so many shows together

Thanks to Sideshow I went to all but eight up in the Midwest in 2001.

From the maritime to The Secret show on 421 to the Boston Orpheum where the downstairs food court was the secret Vortex to the sound check every night and those of us who knew delighted in it

The Q was everything to me

I desperately miss my North Star

The Q was where it was at. Just a marvelous magical 3 year ride.

an incredible moment in time indeed.  back then I regularly saw the Q, Ratdog, Mule and the Allmans at the Beacon.  what a time it was!

My first Q show was New Years Eve 00/01.

Epic show, with Warren opening solo acoustic, and he remarked "We still have a long way to go."

The Phil and Friends show in Oakland was announced AFTER The Other Ones NYE show also in Oakland.

I remember some "influential" curmudgeon deadheads on the social web expressing shock and outrage and "how could Phil pull this stunt?!"

Well, lighten the fuck up, Maynard.

Some folks went to parts of both shows, back and forth across town. There was never any doubt where I was going to be from start to end. It was a beginning of some of the greatest musical adventures of my life, and that was after 17 years watching the Grateful Dead. The Q were indeed that good.
