My one and only NYE. Don't really remember much. Also pretty sure that this was the most visibly fucked up I had ever seen the band. I think this was the show that Phil said made him move toward a more sober lifestyle.

But Etta and the Tower of Power were fun

Great video

So apparently Etta kept calling Jerry "Harry"?

In retrospect, Harry would have been a perfect name for the man.

That was a really fun show!  I thought that the Dinosaurs opener was great as well:

One of my favorite NYE shots...

Wow I have zero memory of the Dinosaurs. I do remember Cipollina sitting in earlier in the week. Anyway not surprising since that was a 5 show run over six days and I was 19.

Great Bucket from 12/31/83

My Favorite NYE Show!

Loved that show ! Got my ticket after the 12/30 show when my buddy left early to get on line and save us spots . Bill Graham was yelling quite a bit at the folks as the folks that didn't make the cutoff were a little unruly . My favorite NYE show and run was my first of 11 12/31/81 it was also the best show I ever saw.
