17 CD 1973 “Here Comes Sunshine” Box Set To Drop 06/30/2023

There should be a pre-sale with dynamic pricing

I'm waiting for the version that comes out on 117 vinyl LP's with the limited edition bonus 7" 45rpm single on colored vinyl

all analog, fam

I get that you're being half-serious, but I far prefer live concert archival recordings on cd to vinyl.  All of the pauses to change sides necessitated by the format restrictions alter the flow of the performance detrimentally.  I suppose if you have two turntables you could make it work, but that seems like an awful lot of effort.

Now, back to business, who has the promo code?

I'm actually not being serious at all

totally agree

Thank you brothers!

The promo code doesn't seem to work with the digital download :-(

I dunno; one of those shows doesn't even HAVE a Here Comes Sunshine.

Hope it come with a new stylus as well.

Yea well listen to the river only had 3 Brokedowns so it's an improvement

I did notice Spring '90 is getting stamped again though

it's one of a select few of these CD releases that's managed to stay in solid rotation all this time. Thinking it's earned a promotion

All of these 73 shows have circulated for years, and mostly in excellent quality, with 5/13 and 6/9 not as pristine quality but still good enough, and this part of 73 is not my favorite. Give me Nov/Dec, and some of the later summer shows, many of which are already released. No way I’m shelling out for this massive box. 5/20 and 5/26 and 6/9 are what I would consider below average for 1973. Only 5/13 and 6/10 have anything special for me, so again this new box is not for me because of the price and because I’m not a completist.

The older I get the more the idea of listening to album sides is both relaxing and appealing. CDs and full length shows get played in the car or boat but if I'm gonna sit down and listen, nine times out of ten I'll listen to vinyl, including GD shows. The recent Lyceum box is a home run of a listen. But really I'm down for hi res files, cd releases and vinyl, there's room for everything

The 6/10 show alone is 8 LPs, no thanks. The physical media I buy is almost always vinyl these days, but like Dave, not for 3 or 4 hour shows.

The RFK show is enticing, but I wonder if the "speed correction" also corrects for the clearly out-of-tune instruments in tunes like "Eyes". That's such a great show but the tuning issues are kind of a drag. Would love to know whether the "speed correction" fixes all the issues.

kraken one pump...

let's help make dave some jing

I like the way you talk jack

I like a good china rider as much as the next person but five in this set and two in the latest daves (bonus disc) and a little diversity would be nice.   As rocky as the 90s were, at least they mixed it up.

That promo code was unacceptable for the CDs.

this one works

That one works for the digital download too.

Confirming via message from Rob Bertrando "The new transfers will provide dramatically better sound for every show in this release. The greatest improvement will probably be 5/13 and 5/20, but I wouldn't discount a similar improvement for the rest, since all circulating copies were made using equipment of noticeably lower quality than Jeffrey is using now, and that doesn't even take into account the benefits of Plangent processing."

Bump for its imminent release. Looks like digital downloads start tomorrow.

Just finished 5/13 on GD Radio and started 5/20.  First 2 shows of the package, hoping he plays the whole thing today.

^^Thakks! On the release date/day, he played 6.10.73 followed by the latest JGB release (6.18.82?). All Good!
