1st Time for everything - Car stuff

Forums:

So I had my wives car serviced 3 weeks ago, she has a discountinued 2013 Subaru WRX wagon with just over 30k miles on it. I paid about 24k for it brand new in 2012. Anyways to make a long staory short, I get an email that they want my car. I just sold it for 500 more than I paid brand new, who new you could make money on a car. 1st for me, just pocketed the cash and leased a new Crosstek in the deal with no money down and a reasonable monthly payment really low 220's

Nice!  I wish that we had sold our Prius back to Toyota before the main battery died (on the positive side, it outlived it's 150K mile estimated lifespan).

Looking for a new road trip car...

Thought you were Mormon for a sec there.smiley

There are so Many Cars and Trucks Out there for 5 grand or less do Reseach Look around a little Work and BAM a Nice Ride !

While we already knew the Civic Type R’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo develops 235kW of power and 400Nm of torque – the latter arriving between 2500 and 4500rpm – the company has revealed this week the front-wheel drive performance hatch can sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds – interestingly, this is the same as the previous-generation Europe-only ‘FK2’ Type R.

Not only does the Type R complete the benchmark sprint in under 6.0 seconds, it also has a claimed top speed of 272km/h, making it the quickest accelerating and fastest front-wheel drive hot hatch you can buy. It also holds the Nurburgring lap record for front-wheel drive vehicles, completing the circuit in 7 minutes and 43.8 seconds.

Quick little car.

The 2017 US version is about to hit the market at $ 34,000.00 not as robust as the european model but still a lil hot rod

Did that include the driver's door upgrade?...

$ 34,000.00 <<<<<<

Hell NO ! ha ha Be Smart and Buy a Used 6 K or Less !

$ 34,000.00 <<<<<<

I Could Buy 5 or 6 Nice Rides for that Price !

JK paid zero for the use of a car for 4+ years (other than perhaps the opportunity cost/interest* on the $34k original cost...*which should have been quite low in this era of ultra-low rates).

Thumbs up.

Its funner crawling thru the driverside window, why pay for the upgrade?

 it would be just like my first car, a yellow pinto wagon, which plf could probably buy 40 of for $6,000

Love
