These should be great.

Agree! Love this lineup. Too bad it's not the warm-up for the bday run.

Wish I could go, but it's in the middle of next week already and I've got 2 Phil shows at the Crystal to go next week.

Like this lineup way better than the Crystal lineup.

Chris Gelbuda? Sounds kinda random, but he's surrounded by a great lineup.

I'm all over this for Wednesday, 01/31!!!

Free show in the bar that night: Deep Dark Woods (previous night Jonny Mojo with Stu Allen and Friends!)

Hope to see some of you there.

>>>>Like this lineup way better than the Crystal lineup.

Derp. So true.  Crystal should still be fun.

Speaking of Karl Denson and the Cyrstal, will be seeing KDTU there this weekend.

^Have fun!  That southern slide guitar guy has been a lot of fun to watch over the last couple of shows that I've attended.  But you probably know that all the members are top-notch.

Greyboy Allstars are playing at GAMH SF sometime in the not-too-distant future, I believe.

hiya Ken! won't be at KDTU, but will see you at the Crystal!

I met another Portland Zoner this week for a ticket transaction - Wngfan!

Will introduce you two if you don't already know him.

Molo ...sless and metzger.....sweet...

dual peddle steeling between sless and randolph..

do people feel comfortable on psychedelics in the txr's?

I just noticed that KDTU will be playing TXR on 02/02/18!

Another can't-miss show for me (wonder if Phil will sit-in for another 30-min, 3 song mini-set; those have been extremely interesting, IMHO)

Johnnyd, Phil won't sit in because he'll be at the Crystal Ballroom shows that night.

With Randolph on steel, Barry will prob. be mostly on electric geetar.

Thanks for the info, Llollo.  I've been a bit out of touch with current events.  Still looking forward to a KDTU dance party.

Glad that you're gettin' some Phil up there.

>>>>Chris Gelbuda? Sounds kinda random, but he's surrounded by a great lineup.

No doubt!  (There is a Randolph connection, though) From Wikipedia:

"Chris was the writer and vocalist on the German dance #1 hit "Bad Ideas" by Alle Farben, which went platinum. Gelbuda co-wrote and produced “3 A.M.” and "Just A Friend" with Meghan Trainor. He also produced her hit single, “Like I'm Gonna Lose You”, featuring John Legend, which was certified quadruple Platinum in the U.S. and has reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 (as of December 3, 2015).[2][3][4]

Both songs appear on Meghan Trainor’s multi-platinum debut album, "Title.” [5] Other notable cuts include "You Could've Loved Me" by Frankie Ballard, "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone" by Dustin Lynch, "Love Do What It Do" By Robert Randolph feat. Darius Rucker, "Small Town Saturday Night" by Wheeler Walker, Jr., “Can't Blame a Girl for Trying” recorded by rising Disney star, Sabrina Carpenter (Co-written with Meghan Trainor and Al Anderson (NRBQ),[6] and “Wingman,” recorded by country artist, Billy Currington.[7] Gelbuda has scored song placements in various major network television shows including "Nashville", ABC’s Pretty Little Liars and TNT’s Dallas.[8]

Gelbuda is also an experienced multi-instrumentalist. Trained in classical piano from age 6 at The Suzuki School of Music, Gelbuda is also skilled in playing many additional instruments, including; guitar, Hammond B3, Wurlitzer 200a, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, drums, percussion, and bass. He has performed with various bands and musicians, including: Euforquestra, Japanese Cartoon, The Matthew Santos Band,[9] Van Ghost, Everyone Orchestra, James Otto, and Secondhand Smoke: A Tribute to Sublime.

All these good shows are great

but every week at $77 is a bad habit

If this lineup was at the BDay Capital shows I would have made the trip.

I've never heard of Gelbuda, but from what Johnny posted it sounds like he'll be playing keys.

This is a lineup that should work pretty well since most all the players are well-versed in the material, which is often an issue for me with Phil's "big name" lineups.

>>>do people feel comfortable on psychedelics in the txr's<<<

I don't know how comfortable they feel, but I've encountered MANY in my times at the little room, and they generally seem as happy as a bunch of trippin' hippies.

And that's generally pretty happy.

i agree w/ surfdead, sless will be (should be) melting faces w/ his guitar mostly.

i'd check this band out, potential seen.

Good to see Phil stretching out the old muscles.  If he can walk, he can surely dance.

they gonna let barry off the leash or is there 3 people on guitar?

and i'm not sure how r.randolph can make a pedal steel sound like shit but he does it.

anyway, nice to see something outside of the sing along happy family band...

New guy in the mix!

how the hell did he get the gig?

70 minutes and no one posted "Promoted from Bus Boy"?

Proud of you kidz.
