Really strong show....glad
Really strong show....glad you guys made it! Never saw the GD in SD but did see the Garcia Band at the SDSU Open Air Theatre in '89.
Great venue, great show, all around great vibe...
I think at the end of the day Bob and Mickey actually "won" after spending part of the night in jail....
Seem to remember the "inciting a riot" charges were dropped and they were basically in the clear after paying a small fine for some lesser charge.
I will try to ask Weir about that story.....

Similar to the preceding LA Sports Arena run, I recall both of these SD shows being pretty choppy, mostly due to Garcia. He was all over the place and increasingly out of sync.
The subsequent Oakland shows seemed to find him in somewhat better form. Not much, but some.
