Forums:

Bill Graham's first concert and his first at the Fillmore Auditorium.

Could he have ever envisioned what he was starting?

I love the statement on the back of the handbill.

Doesn't seem like things have really changed that much.

Atta' boy Bill.

60 years ago, no?

Bill managed to get one of the posters into Bob Dylan's hands at a press conference, where upon Dylan held it up, mentioned all of the acts and says he wishes he could attend;

Not listed on the poster (but they did appear)... the newly-minted Grateful Dead (formerly the Warlocks).

And it was 59 years ago... 1965.

1966.

This was 12/10/1966;

Ah ha, we're both wrong....

12/10/1965.

59 years ago tonight.

I should have known that.

Fantastical

The thing is, all these decades later we're still going up those same stairs, walking into that same lobby, going through the same doors into that same room. To enjoy the same thing.

IMO, that's pretty fucking far out.

On it goes.

I still have a hard time reading those posters.
