That 70’s Rapist

Forums:

Danny Masterson, the actor who played the role of Hyde on That 70's Show, was convicted of two incidences of forced rape today.  He faces a sentence of 30 years behind bars:

If the actor who played Red Foreman was alive he'd call Masterson a dumbass.

Hope the plaintiffs go after the Church Of Scientology for their harassment, threats, and complicitness in trying to cover up the whole sordid affair.

^Kurtwood Smith is still currently living.

My bad, I thought he'd passed.  Looks like most of the cast is still alive, except Tanya Roberts, who played the role of Midge Pinciotti (Laura's mom and Bob's wife).

Wonder if Tommy Chong is all skeeved out about all the time he spent in close proximity to Masterson in the drive-thru photo shop?

Feel sorry for Masterson's wife Bijou Phillips, who has already dealt with a lot of hardship in her life.

Hope the plaintiffs gain relief from seeing Masterson held accountable for his crimes.

Holy fucken christballz

Your mansplaining of this whole thing would be laughable.

If it weren't so nauseating.

Your post is so ridiculous, I don't even know how to respond.   So I won't.

Peace be with you Sister Tarot.

Yeah jlp, would you mind explaining what exactly Dave said that was "mansplaining", laughable or nauseating?

It seems he just stated the facts, expressed sympathy for those who were hurt and hoped for justice to those deserving it.

What am I missing?

"No, man. I'm Dave, man."

Knocks again.

"Hey, c'mon man."

"Who is it?"

"It's Dave, man. Will you open up, I've got the stuff."

"Who?"

"Dave, man - open up?"

"Dave?"

"Yeah."

"Dave's not here!"

The actress who played Lori Foreman is also dead.

...Annnd you can watch Red Foreman (Kirkwood Smith) alive and well in That 90's Show - Tommy Chong is back as well!

Trail it here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM6ZkmRZRJs

It was enjoyable although not as good as the 70s version of it.

Fuck Yeah right?

Well Cosby owned the 80's

I knew it, we are all reincarnated aliens acting as bunch of sociopathic monkeys! Send me $20 for additional secrets and a package of sea monkeys.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology

Scientology texts say that a human possesses an immortal inner self, termed a thetan, that resides in the physical body and has experienced many past lives. Scientologists believe that traumatic events experienced by the thetan over its lifetimes have resulted in negative "engrams" forming in the mind, causing neuroses and mental problems. They claim that the practice of recalling and talking through past experiences with a person called an "auditor" can remove these engrams; Scientology groups charge fees for clients undergoing "auditing". Once an "auditor" deems the engrams to have been removed, an individual is given the status of "clear". They can then take part in a further series of activities to advance through "Operating Thetan" (OT) levels, which require further payments.

The Operating Thetan texts are kept secret from most followers, and are only revealed after adherents have typically given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the organization in order to complete what Scientology refers to as The Bridge to Total Freedom.[12] The Scientology organization has gone to considerable lengths to try to maintain the secrecy of the texts but they are freely available on the internet,[13] on sites such as the publisher WikiLeaks.[14] These texts say that lives preceding a thetan's arrival on Earth were lived in extraterrestrial cultures. Scientology doctrine states that any Scientologist undergoing "auditing" will eventually come across and recount what is called the "Incident".[15] The secret texts refer to an alien called Xenu, described as a ruler of a confederation of planets 70 million years ago who brought billions of aliens to Earth and then killed them with thermonuclear weapons. Despite being kept secret from most followers, this forms the central mythological framework of Scientology's ostensible soteriology.[16] These aspects have become the subject of popular ridicule.

So complicated -Castenada had something similar  but much simpler where you did a "Recapitulation" of your life to get to a "clear " whatever.

Ya gotta be a wacko to believe that shit.

I always thought that Red and his wife were by far the funniest characters on that show, so maybe the new one has a chance.

I'm glad to hear that Kerwood Smith is still among us.

He was great in That '70s Show, he was GREAT in RoboCop (IMO one of the best movie villains of all time) and he's always reminded me of John Molo.

>Ya gotta be a wacko to believe that shit.

absolutely, religions are cults, this one isn't really that much more absurd and certainly not the only Church guilty of covering up sex crimes.

Don't worry Dave, you didn't mansplain anything.

This is the world we live in. Other people arbitrarily get to decide what you're allowed to have an opinion on, or even talk about. If you break their subjective rules, you get put down and discounted.

Maybe she can womansplain her bizarre comment?

Perhaps the word Plaintiffs should have been Victims.

The quizzical yet not often seen unexplained melt n run....

Maybe cut JLP some slack?  Sexual assault is a minefield of trauma.  Who knows, she could have been triggered?

She doesn't owe us/me anything, nor do I expect it.

Agreed, but you're also likely to get accused of mansplaining for saying that

I'll cop to humansplaining.  smiley

That 30 Years To Life Show.

Still would like to see the Church of Scientology get held accountable for their role in all of this.

can we still watch the reruns or is that taboo now?

I wonder what Kirkwould Smits would think of all this...

> Still would like to see the Church of Scientology get held accountable for their role in all of this.

There's probably no criminal exposure there unless they obstructed the investigation, but if the victims file civil suits for damages, the Church of Scientology might find itself a defendant.
