I was not aware that From Good Homes reunited. Good to see Waterloo hosting shows again.
Maybe a zoner can help me with something that I haven't been able to remember with a FGH connection. One of the members, I forget which one, opened a tiny club/performance space on the main drag in Long Valley, NJ. This place was the most intimate room I have ever been in. If you were at a table up front, there wasn't 5 feet between you and the band. One particular mind-blowing show was The Health and Happiness Show, which was formed by Bongo James Mastro. On that show, guitar duties were handled by Richard Lloyd of Television fame. Sitting at a front table and having Lloyd directly in front of me and my face at guitar level was something else. I witness the intricacies of Lloyd's playing in a way that can hardly be described. Talk about an immersive experience.
Anyway, does anyone remember the name of that club?
There are some good songs on the new album. I am attending with a big group of Sparta NJ friends. Haven't seen the new Waterloo venue yet. For this concert they allow camping for the night which is pretty coo
Saw the band at a birthday party last year and they sounded great
(skifurthur) I believe the place you are think of was called Trucker coffee shop. It was a breakfast coffee shop that hosted music on fri & sat until the late 1980's Players from Blue Sparks from Hell. Kings in Disguise ect, ect, would play there.Pre Rail Road Earth. Coffee shop was owned by a parent of either Andy Goessling or Tim Carbone I do believe.
Back in the day. Tucker's Long Valley. Hackettstown WNTI Centenary College. Stanhope,Stanhope House. Bernie's Hillside,Chester It's still a great place to live.
