By far, my favorite show.  I saw all 5 shows this run and lived to tell....

First set Scarlet and a 2nd set that had some of the best versions that I had the pleasure to see with a La Bamba tucked into Good Lovin. The drugs were really good, too

Hell in a Bucket
Sugaree
Walkin' Blues
Candyman
Masterpiece
Bird Song

Shakedown Street
Man Smart/Woman Smarter
Terrapin Station
drums
Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad
All Along the Watchtower
Morning Dew
Good Lovin'
La Bamba
Good Lovin'

Knockin' on Heaven's Door

Definitely a super fun show. MSG was totally rocking that night.

All the MSG's blur together for me except for the Rain Forest Benefit, but never saw La Bamba so missed out on this one. Looking at the set lists I think I missed out on the whole tour. Something must have been up but I have no idea. May have still been pissed about that first Dylan/Dead show at Foxboro which is easily the worst show I ever saw.

Made it to work 45 min from home on that Wed - Friday. Coherence was a whole 'nother thing

Great recording - one of the best .  Matrix audience mix captures everything.

i made my own box set of the 1988 msg run.  some really great moments in those shows as well.

Agreed, Rich... the band always stepped up for MSG runs .... I made ALL the NYC area shoes 85 - 95 - except for Branford at Nassau - my one night off in a 5 show run. Still bummed about that.

Saw him with The Dead at a half empty show years later

I was there and that Morning Dew still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear it.  If there is a Morning Dew ranking system that has to be in the Top 5.
