Melgar v. Zicam

Apparently the cold medicine had false claims. I do not remember filing or signing up for any thing.

I'll take the money though.

well its homeopathic so any claim besides "this is basically water and has no pharmalogically active ingredients(aside from a tiny, negligible amount of zinc)" is a false claim.

many homeopathic medicines are available in common grocery stores and pharmacies right next to the actual medications, and IME lots of folks who are smart enough to know that homeopathy is bullshit, but would prefer a more natural remedy for a health issue they might have, wind up buying these medications without really understanding what they are or how homeopathy works. ive noticed this the most with parents of small kids. folks that are not against using synthetic drugs, that are not super rigorous about things like eating organic, etc, but have small children will see these products and make the assumption it may be easier for the system of a small child to handle, instead of giving them something thats a bit hard on the system like tylenol. and thats partly true...it is easier on the system of a small child...because its just water.
