Act at a festival that wasn't on your radar but blew you away

Forums:

While there have been quite a few of them over the years, the one that truly knocked my socks off and ended up really, really enjoying myself was when I was Jenny Lewis at Bonnaroo. I was just doing my photo circuit and doing my 3 songs and out to the next tent. She came out like a ball of sunshine and red bull and hooked me within 3 minutes. I didn't make it to the next tent...lol.

Cheap Trick

Funky Meters

Horseshoes and Hand Grenades

Kermit Ruffins

David Byrne sitting in with Terry Allen.

And then later on in the day, sitting in with Jeff Tweedy band (essentially Wilco) for a rendition of Woody Guthrie's 'California Stars.'

Blew us away. Beautiful human being playing beautiful music. Added to everything in the panorama (and particularly added to Mr. Terry Allen's set; that was wonderful).

Looking forward to Newport Jazz in a couple weeks which should bring us some wonderful sit-ins. "in the tradition," and all. Excitement.

1st time I saw Gary Clark Jr at one of the Mountain Jams

DelFest 2015 Billy Strings and Don Julin late night tween set, Holy shit did that blow everybody's mind!  Like a lightning bolt he woke everybody up!  Knew right away he was going places.
