The AI is a Touch Head

Forums:

So they have made an AI open to the public and you can chat with it.

Human: What kind of music do you like?

AI: I enjoy all kinds of music.

Human: Have you listened to the Grateful Dead?

AI: Yes, I have. I enjoy their music.

Human: What song do you like?

AI: I enjoy their song "Touch of Grey."

For the price of an email address and a phone number. It will also fix grammar, turn text into code, converts first-person POV to the third-person and a lot more.

IS THIS A SURPRISE!?wink

We used to play for silver; now we play for chips.

Automation killed a lot of jobs. This will too.

>>>Automation killed a lot of jobs. This will too.

This is going to be a major stressor on society more than global warming and we are going to start seeing huge disruption in the next 5 years. Anyone who produces what I would call non creative content like ad copy, graphic arts, music for commercial work will be the first out of a job. It won't stop there either - contract law, reporters, therapists, pharmacists, doctors, airline pilots, truck drivers, media buyers, procurement specialists will all be on the chopping block. The list is endless.

It would mean the end of capitalism. The economy would no longer need nearly as many workers, but would still need consumers to buy the products manufactured using automation and AI. A new economic paradigm would need to be developed and implemented. True communism? I'm not talking about the totalitarian shams we have seen in the 20th century. But with a system of from each/to each, will there be enough "room" to continue to cultivate and foster innovation without the carrot of financial gain?

Of course, with population, climate change, and fascism all on the increase, this may all be moot.

From K Drum:

Klarna is a Swedish e-shopping...This means they employ a lot of customer service agents in their call center.

At least, they used to:

Klarna today announced its AI assistant powered by OpenAI. Now live globally for 1 month.

The AI assistant has had 2.3 million conversations, two-thirds of Klarna’s customer service chats. It is doing the equivalent work of 700 full-time agents...and communicates in more than 35 languages. It’s estimated to drive a $40 million USD in profit improvement to Klarna in 2024.

....Klarna's AI Assistant offers real-time updates on your outstanding balances and upcoming payment schedules, ensuring you never miss a Klarna payment. It also provides a clear understanding of your purchase power, explaining your spending limits and the reasons behind them, empowering you to make informed and confident shopping choices.

For now, Klarna says the displaced customer service agents will be reassigned to help other customers. But obviously this won't last forever:

Somebody gotta dose that AI.
