{Rescue Me > Rain in The Summer Time starts at 23:12}

Hey, how was show?

And how is Mike  Peters doing? Wasnt he sick for awhile?

These guys will be as big as U2 someday mark my words

Or maybe as big as big country....

The show was great JB. I purchased the last seat 3 days before as my sons birthday was that week & I didn't know if I had a Hall-Pass or not.

I got nice and relaxed /stoned all-day and thought I was going to chill in the back row & be the first to meet Mike.

I entered the theater and was trying to take the elevator up (I have bad sticks) & the really cool / brilliant manager said "Hey Mr E the elevator isn't working". So they got me up front"

Mike is doing great and has fought addictions & his wife Jules -the amazing keyboard player - is feeling better from a bought with Cancer.

Great Fucking People!

Amazing band!

Thanks for review...i must have been thinking of his wife, cause i thought i heard a few yrs back, that he had cancer....glad to hear she s doing well, and that you had a  great show...thanks again, for all you do

Strength makes it on some of my house work mixes I didn’t realize they were still out there

That's pretty cool Bucky.  Any others?

Mike was Big Country's singer / leader for a good spin, not too long a go. Glad he's back with The Alarm

The Rain in the Summer time is for real. It rained, the sun came out & rained again, from when I left my car & returned to it after the show

>>that he had cancer

Yes sir, Mike fought Cancer too; concurrently to Jules.

Jealous. One of my favorite bands as a teen 'newwave 'kid before.

I was spinning 'Declaration' from my seven-year-old yesterday. He seemed to dig it. I often wonder if Jimmy Iovine wouldn't have stood them up on producing the follow up ( though 'Strength' is still Great).

I want to echo the comment made about Mike Peters and his wife, Jules, being great people. It is also worth mentioning that Mike is a beating cancer stud. This is the third time he has battled cancers into remission...each a different cancer. I've done some work with Mike's charity foundation, the Love, Hope, Strength Foundation, which many of may have seen on the concert/festival circuit. They are the ones who swab your mouth to see if you are a match for a bone marrow donation to somebody on the needed list. They have had many matches so far and the numbers keep growing. I also want to mention that the documentary about Mike, "The Man In The Camo Jacket," is worth the time to watch.

Thanks Tony, I was hoping you would mention that, if you were up to it.

Thanks

Hey Bluelight I subscribe to Apple Music and every Tuesday they generate a playlist for me based on what I’ve listened to before.

Today it read:

Maneuvers - Graham Parker

Central Park N West - Ian Hunter

Perfect Circle - REM

Strength - The Alarm

IOU - The Replacements

King Of California - Dave Alvin

Something In The Night - Bruce Springsteen

Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin

When The World Is Running Down - The Police

there’s a lot more but The Alarm song was the pertinent part

Wow. If that's the case; you have great taste.

The first 4 are amazing.

That is certainly the case and you are right about my great taste in music I appreciate you pointing that out as some people scoff when I tell them that myself.
