All House Republicans Vote Against Neo-Nazi Probe of Military, Police

Forums:

I swear, you just can't tell the difference between the parties these days. One is as bad as the other.

The House has approved an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to compel government officials to prepare a report on combating white supremacists and neo-Nazi activity in the police and military, despite every Republican voting against the measure

boehbert's restaurant lost it's lease and closed

a nearby dispensary bought the building and terminated the lease

The former guy would say there are very fine people on both sides of the aisle, except the ones who voted for this amendment of course.

That's pretty cool about the dispensary forcing Boebert out. That's some grass roots activism at its finest (pun fully intended).

industry leaders are cool with facisim.

right henry ford?

Henry Ford is dead.

You should read more, Turtle.

remember when we watched the evil kkk USA goon squad just basically playing pattycake out in Malheur with the bundy family and their equally armed goon squad for months?

it's that.

it is still relevant, even more so now.

you should gain perspective lumber truck....

I know the history, Turtle. However, today we have one party pushing a Christofascist agenda, yet many ignorantly claim that the parties are the same.

Which party placates the Catholics?

^Specify what you consider placating in this context.

Not the same. Just owned by the same people.

ahem, thanks markd.

and speaking of reading lumberhead, maybe try The Devil's Chessboard. Who knows,  you might learn something?

There are plenty of contemporary Oligarchs who are fascists. Murdoch, Koch brothers, Elon Musk, Peter Theil, Larry Ellison, Sheldon Adelson, Issac Perlmuter (Head of Marvel Entertainment), Linda McMahon, Steve Wynn, and the list goes on.

^which party do those folks support?

Turtle, is there a viable alternative to the Democrats on a national level?

Progressives cannot win the Presidency.  If progressives are going to be a national force, they need to take control of the Democratic party. The leadership is more or less in place.

Meanwhile, conservative justices, appointed by republicans have brought us such decisions as citizens united, heller, and the recent dobbs(overturned Roe)

There is a substantive difference between the parties and their policies.

Since things floated a bit off topic here as it is, this dumbass apparently couldn't even successfully run a lawn mower. It should have been easy enough for her to simply sell a ton of over-priced merch to the MAGA whacko patrons.

"Shooters lost more than $242,000 in 2018 and more than $600,000 in total between 2018 and 2020. The restaurant also had accumulated nearly $20,000 of unpaid unemployment insurance premiums, which Boebert reportedly paid off days before the general election in 2020. Shooters also reportedly sickened dozens of people at a rodeo with its pork sliders."

love the fascist restaurant>>cannabis story fo sho

alex and i were just discussing how there is no democrat to run in 2024 who has even a modicum of a chance at success. and we all know joe is a fucking failure. so, yea

fascists are openly running and folks are eating that shit up because thinking gives you wrinkles

Speaking of non-thinking wrinkles, even though there are likely 60 realistic bipartisan votes out there for this, actually getting said 60 votes in the Senate will be a huge stretch when Mitch pressures his conference to vote against it.

I'd rather see the Senate fix the Electoral Count Act before they finally do something about reefer.

I am with you on that, Mike. Unfortunately, there remain quite a few ambiguities across our country's founding documents that could use some clarification. I am not sure that I overall trust Congress to get that right but at least the proposed patch in the link you provided seems sufficient for the moment anyway.

I'm thinking there's a good chance they'll introduce new ambiguities with the fix, but at least they're trying to shut down one of the former guy's crooked avenues. And with bipartisan support, there's a tacit acknowledgement from both parties that Donald the Dotard did indeed do something wrong.

Both parties believe when the president does something it's never too illegal to prevent the bipartisanship that shields and protects the power of the dignitaries.

I'm not saying you're wrong, Slack, but it's not just the President. Why is Matt Gaetz still walking around a free man?

Because both sides are scum grifting at every opportunity to live on the neverending campaign dime.

That's the overlap of the Venn diagram, but I hope you would acknowledge that there are differences too.

Laura Ingrahms nazi salute at the RNC was just a coincidence huh,,,
