Good bands. How do shows like these do at TXR, attendance wise? Seems like this kind of programming is new, this and the Spiritualized that folkYeah! is copresenting.

people are going to be pissed if there is no FOTD played.

Here is Eric Johnson with Jim James at Sound Summit last month:

ateix,

My experience with TXR is that any shows other than Phil shows sell quite slowly.  In the past, when ticket sales aren't up to par, Phil has regularly announced himself as a special guest to push some of these shows to Sold Out status.

However, Phil's shows aren't selling out quite as quickly as they used to.  Whether it's intentional or not, Phil appears to have decreased the popularity of his shows (playing with Family Band, no more streams, no more SBD's, etc).  If you check today's "tickets" page, only 1 of 10 advertised shows is sold out right now.

I've also been wondering if TXR shows (for the same artists) are more expensive than other venues, which host those artists.  The Grate Room is small and the sound system is top notch IMHO.

That being said, many of the shows appear to be well-attended on the day of the show, with some exceptions.

Spiritualized tickets are still available for TXR at $53.00 total, while the cheapest official tickets to tomorrow's Spiritualized show at the Fillmore are currently over $60.
