Another 'Jam On The Sand" in Asbury Park...

Forums:

This week's free show was "Hayley Jane & The Primates".  They are young & energetic, and played a couple nice sets for the small crowd.  They will be at Peach and Lockn' and another one in New Hampshire, so check their website.  All originals with a couple covers, I'd see them again for free.

We headed out early enough to grab a snack at Bond St. Bar,  which was tasty as always.  My buddy had not been in Convention Hall in decades,  so we walked in to check out the venue.  Upstairs,  there's a Bar and 4-5 Shuffleboard courts.  The large windows provide a fine view of the stage next to the Beach.  To our delight, there had been an office party earlier,  and they left all sorts of tasty Food in covered chafing dishes. The bartender said "Go to Town!" Too bad we already ate a bunch.  There was a nice batch of Cajun seafood with clams, mussels, shrimp and andouille sausage.  I managed to quaff a few of each variety,  and grabbed a plate of Chicken wings for Hüsky.

He liked those;  I gave H.I.M. three and there's still a handful in the fridge.  I regret not grabbing more wings.  They were bound for  the trash.  The nice thing is they were not coated in hot sauce;  they had a few varieties of dipping sauce on the side.  The Dog got plain Chicken (carefully deboned of course).  I'm thinking of bringing H.I.M. along next week.  Although dogs are not technically allowed on Sunset Ave. beach,  there was a 'Golden Doodle' tonight and a 'Golden Retriever' at Midnight North.  Not in the fenced area but just adjacent.  It's some Reggae band next Thursday.  He'd love it.
