Another Phil & Family show, TXR, 1/26, $77

What do you think of this line up at $77 JD...maybe a good deal if you average out all the many free bar shows they have done, but something seems off about it in the big room. Especially sans Stu

No Stu - not so fun....
NYE Stu at VFdub Hall in Larkspur was killer.

^Sorry to have missed that NYE show, but certainly enjoyed family time.  Absolutely LOVE that lineup that played on 12/31/16 (especially missing Ezra).

I personally agree, Bret.  I'm not up to spending that much money in general, nowadays.  I will do so for the right "and Friends" lineup, though.

And I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Phil and Terrapin Family Band for free in the bar.  More for the group/rhythmic dynamic than actual solo shredding.

Speaking of the bar, I'm really enjoying some of those lineups.  Law/Sless, Lebo/Mathis, etc, etc.  Tomorrow's free show with Lebo, Reed Mathis, Holly Bowling, and Pete Lavezzoli is a no brainer, IMHO.  Unfortunately, I just found out that I will be doing some solo parenting for a few nights, starting tomorrow (which really isn't a tragedy), so I may see Stu with Lavezzoli and some of the other TXR regulars tonight.

I'm also interested in the Karl Denson's Tiny Universe with Phil sit-in on 01/27/16.  Last time was smoking and the show is half the price of Phil/Family.  This may turn out to be my birthday show, unless I find one that happens four days earlier.  cheeky

Go To The Show (of your choice, of course)

Do people know for a fact that Stu won't be involved in any of this?

The adds say "many special guests" so I'm keeping an open mind about who might be fleshing out the core band from show to show.

may see ya there tonight...the night formerly known as Stuesday  smiley

Good point, Lance.  I'm curious to see if Night 2 will sell out.  What happens on the first night may have an influence, though it's likely that Phil in his home court will sell out before then.

Scott Law is playing in the bar both nights and Stu is at Ashkenaz on 1/25. Looks like these shows are just the family band.

Good work, Woz.  Hope to see you soon.

You know you will brother!

I just jizzed my shorts when I saw this lineup!!!!!!

Does this mean a 1985 show will cost $85, or a 1990 show $90, etc...?

Once they enter the nineties, prices will be $19.90, $19.91, etc...

I'm looking forward to Sless, Molo, Sears, Barraco, and the woman-who's-name-I-forget show, followed two weeks later by the KDTU with Phil sit-in.

Hang in there, 13point.  There will be other lineups coming through in 2017.  I BELIEVE

I'm looking forward to the KDTU with Phil show!

When's Winwood playin?

The 25th is back up for sale. I think they need to add a strong lead guitarist to sell these shows out.
