That is not your usual situation. Even in the few instances of traditional terrorism where the perp doesn't run and hangs around the scene of the crime waiting for the cops to show up (like the recent assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, for example), they typically use the opportunity to shout some political or religious BS. Sounds like we may have a real strange one here.

Picture is starting to form. According to early reports, guy was an army vet who was given a "general discharge" in August and was struggling with mental health issues. They say he showed up in November at the FBI office in Alaska where he was living complaining that ISIS was forcing him to fight for them. He was supposedly being watched by Army intelligence for his bizarre behavior.
