Apparently there are critics of In-N-Out "loyalists"

Great place to ask

Their potatoes are delicious. You can ask for well done if they're too limp.

Anytime they say, "It's better than McDonalds", you know it's just a step above cat food.

It's a very good chain.

Is it better than Fatburger?

you gotta consider the price.  it's competitive with mcdonalds in that respect, and tons better quality

No. Fat Burger is far superior. In 'n Out is in my top five favorites but Fat Burger is #1.

My wife said I've had Fatburger before but I don't remember eating at one. The one she says I ate at turned into a Five Guys.

Five Guys is pretty good too except for the one in Greenwich Village. Avoid that location. The unlimited toppings is epic.

Nothing beats Fatburger though. They have this challenge that if you can eat this enormous burger you get it for free.

Next time I'm in SoCal I'm doing.

You have to eat the fries, burger and shake to be on the wall of fame. Free meal if you finish in time.

How many patties is that?

Three half lbs. patties.

I need to try that next time I'm down there. My uncle's brother was married to the founder's daughter. She was a boxing Ref in the 80's.

Looks yummy.

 A better fast burger...

Super Duper Burger

In & Out   get it with grilled onions and low carb with iceberg lettuce instead of buns.

Why would you want to eat a chainburger?

Location location location

I would rather pan fry a burger at home, then eat a chain burger.  I think BK makes the worst burgers.

When I'm in the mood for a burger I either make it myself in the cast-iron or go to our local bar and grill. Either is far preferable to BK, McD, I+O, 5 Guys, Big Guys, Fat Boys, or whatever.

How much? Fries included? Sysco?

Three half lbs. patties.<<<<

As a "cheating vegetarian", that's what breaks the deal, for me at least ... I don't even like single 1/2 patties (let alone x3)

1/4 is my limit, anything above and I know I'm eating meat.

The ratio of meat to other ingredients (even in a x2 x2) with INO at least "cloaks" the whole process and disconnects me from what's REALLY going on

then again, I have to question my "cheating vegetarian" status in light of going on INO binges when I travel to CA, NV, AZ, UT

The local bar and grill burger works as well Surfdead.  I can't do the drive through.

>>> Why would you want to eat a chainburger?

When I want a good burger locally, I get the turkey burger at "BURGER." on Mission st (they also have an excellent selection of IPAs on tap)... really good and low fat/healthy.

But when I'm driving to the big mountains or other far away destinations here in CA, I don't like wasting time straying away from the hwy.  In/Out is pretty damn tasty and not nearly as unhealthy as the other off ramp fast food options.

any more cow questions?

>>>Why would you want to eat a chainburger?

Someone called Holy Cow in alexandria a chain, which is simply crazy talk. There may be one or two other locations nationwide. And just because its a chain like in and out doesn't mean its not good.

We have a smash burger close, not a fan.

((((( Double-Double animal style with grilled onions, fries well-done and a Coke )))))

HOOK Burger Better Than Habit Fat or In

HOOK !

unless it's Homemade on a Weber which is the Best

Fat Burger, not what it used to be IMNSFHO!

However back in the day, used to love to hit the one on the Strip in Vegas, post-shows!

Not a big fan of Smash Burger or Five Guys, although the latter burger is decent, the way they mange the frys is not working for me.

Never been to an In&Out

Sonic is meh on their burgers, but love the shakes.

Lots of burger cuisine in Colorado these days

i agree Fatburger way Downhill and will Cost ya an Arm Leg $$$$$$$$$$$$

Smash burger is way over rated. Not a fan at all and their shoe string fries are yuck.

The Fatburger franchises now are nothing like the Fatburger on Lincoln in Venice Beach back in the 1980s. I think that one was one of the first.

I still enjoy their food.

Fatburger on Lincoln in Venice Beach<<<

That's the one I went to, early 90's.

Great joint, cb.
