Asking for a friend.....

Forums:

No, Seriueslee!!

A Zonor who does not post here anymore and I were chatting about our North Star because of course we were. And she was pondering on to what happened after Phil received Cody's #SupaLivah

For example did the family get tickets to shows or some other such thing as a thank you from him?

Google has never been my friend and now that they put the AI generation right up in your face it would be much preferable if one of you all had an answer for us please and thank you

You kidz are funny.

Hi, Jill. I tried to Google that and was deadended, if you will, beyond Cody's first name, then finally read his last name "has never been publicly revealed."

lifetime supply of sweat bands

Donor Rap? IMO that was a public thank you to Cody and his Family given at every show. I am sure he did thank the Family but that is not any of my business. I don't think Cody was looking for thank yous when he signed that form,

I've fallen off of my blood donations, I need to do better myself.

Honestly, I can't even imagine what the emotions and connections would be from both sides in that situation, but in this day & age it wouldn't have shocked me if the family had sued for a portion of all profits Phil made in the 26 years he lived with Cody's liver. Fortunately, even in these ever growing self-important times not everyone is consumed with greed.

Other than Phil routinely calling out Cody's name there was to my knowledge never another single moment of public recognition, so it seems that Cody's family likely wanted nothing to do with any limelight, but hopefully behind closed doors there was a connection.

But whether there was or wasn't, knowing that a physical part of a deceased loved one, especially one who died so young, lived on and allowed another to live & thrive must be an overwhelming feeling, and I would think a very comforting one.

So cough up those parts people, because as Jerry once said, When we're done with it, they can have it.

Carry on.

I heard Phil traded them a bottle of vintage Orange Sunshine

My ex was a surgical tech at a hospital in Rockford IL.  She attended a conference in Wisconsin Dells in the early 90's for organ donors and their recipients. As expected, not a dry eye in the house. Like adoptees and birth parents, both the donor and recipient have specific legal rights to privacy.  Being adopted, I think it's a beautiful thing if both parties agree to meet, but some don't agree with that for various reasons.  I like that in this day and age Phil's connection with Cody's family remains private. Let your imagination run.

My guess is Phil never knew anything more than Cody's first name, and age.

Thanks Earl

I love that this is the working theory

It makes so much sense in relation to adoption

I miss him so much
