Nepal 1991, She offered me hash so her kid ran home and came back with some good hash. I think I paid $5 us for 10 grams. I just ran out of my hash I bought in Kathmandu so this was a lucky day

Eugene, 1993 (I think) during Autzen Dead shows.

Nice MIKE-drop - check this out, random seed got planted from my compost pile, and here it is today.

Must be at least 15 feet tall, no idea what strain it could be, looks at least to be female tho' - never topped or anything which give its that xmas tree shape:

Damn, Jay. That's a helluva volunteer. At 15 feet, I'm guessing it has to be a sativa dominant, but it looks there's some fat-fingered leaves down near the bottom.

Barney Miller and Mork. Two great shows. I recently recorded and watched every episode of Barney Miller. Every season. Still holds up. Not sure if Mork would.

Nanu nanu.

I've been watching a couple of Barney Miller episodes most nights lately, and yeah  it totally holds up after all these years.

iirc, Barney Miller and Mork and Mindy were both ABC shows, as were Happy Days and Welcome Back Kotter. They were really into the crossover episode thing for a while there.

Over 1,500 lightning strikes in the PNW last night, a fairly unusual occurrence!  The circulation from former Tropical Storm Eugene finally came home, lol

370431136_831439301676224_5972521966039038653_n.jpg

As that map shows, none in Eugene. And lots more smoke in Southern Oregon. More here, too.

These are cloud to ground strikes, there was cloud to cloud over Eugene (seen the pics / vids), but correct, most stayed east or west of town.  But the Eugene airport did get 0.04" of rain, which is good.

In my area:

Here's an update from Philomath Fire & Rescue:

There were over 1,600 lightning strikes last night over Oregon. Some of those strikes impacted our agencies in Benton County. We responded to a small forest fire in Alsea just after 1 AM this morning. Alsea got a good handle on that fire (< 1 acre) when another fire broke out a short distance away (South Mountain Fire) - about 4-5 acres. No structures threatened, no evacuation orders in place. ODF is managing this fire - and is currently contained in its footprint.

At the same time, a fire was discovered in Kings Valley (Tatum Fire). We sent resources there to assist ODF and Kings Valley Fire. The fire was approximately 2 acres burning in steep terrain. Level 1 evacuation notice (Be Ready) was sent to five nearby residences. ODF has a line around this fire.

This morning, a fire was discovered burning in the forest near Rock Creek Reservoir (Rock Creek Fire). Fire is around 1 acre, and ODF has a good handle on that incident. No structures threatened at this time.

A fourth fire was discovered just after noon today SW of the Bellfountain/Starr Creek Rd area in steep terrain. Our personnel were able to work with local landowners to help locate the fire and ODF and BLM were called in for suppression. Fire is still active at his time, though no structures are currently threatened, and no evacuation notices given.

So, the thunder didn't get you, but the lightning did?

The smoke is getting us now, cough...

Smoke in Eugene is quite a bit better than yesterday, when it was really awful. Still here from the fires in the Cascades. MikeE, mostly from the Lookout fire and the Bedrock fire.

What's the story Mike?

Which story, Mark? lol

On that last pic.

Found it on Reddit. Liked the juxtaposition. Not much of a story, but a cool pic, I thought.

Who is the woman? Looks a bit like Marilyn.

Oh, sorry. It is Marilyn.

I think she looks a little like Tuesday Weld did. A little.

On a Los Angeles street in 1954, Milton [Greene] took this image of Marilyn in a red checked shirt poses in a Cadillac holding a portrait of one of her heros – Abraham Lincoln. The car was given to her by Jack Benny for appearing on his television show.

Thanks Mike. She does a little Judit.
