Band Together Fire Relief Nov 9 ATT Park - Metallica and Friends

Good cause but this video looks like a SNL parody

Fred Armisen could pull off a grate Fake-Kirk.

Shitty lineup.

Metallica absolutely rocks, and the GA field will make it fun.

I'll just get there late. The hip-hoppers and DMB fans will all flee when Metallica comes on so there will be plenty of room to head bang without banging heads.

Deadco added

DeadCo will likely get  45 minute opening slot......hard to get excited, and normally I'd go on a Thursday night to a venue 15 minutes walking distance from my office, but that lineup sucks ass.

And it will be webcast.

And I will be watching from my couch!

Where's Neil and Carlos when we really need them?

Right?

Is anyone going to bother to go to this?

Nobody is going. No money for charity. Save your money for the Rolling Stones.

I'll donate money, I don't need to subject myself to that noise to give to charity, but thanks for playing.

Deadco should have done their own gig at the Oakland Coliseum or BGCC

You don’t think people will bother to go??

I think they will

Fans of Metallica and DNB for sure. Mostly every Deadhead I know id taking a pass on this....hence my taking my personal poll out here. I am curious.

They just announced Dead and Co this morning, right?

I think there will be deadheads there, because like you said, DNB fans will be there. I find your polling to be highly suspicious.

That should say D*M*B LOL! I can't may that want to sit through Metallia, Matthews, Rancid and G-EAZY. Who knows, maybe it's just me and my old fart friends...

I see your point. I still think it will sell out. People like to go to concerts to talk.

It is the last day of Dreamforce. The city is packed. It will easily sell out as long as it doesn't rain

I never suggested it wouldn't sell out, I am wondering how many deadheads will show. Metallica and Dave Matthews alone could sell it out.

So what you are saying is that people will bother to go.

I'd sooo go to this...

F'n Metallica!!!

Rancid

shit yeah!

I'll be there for sure. These odd, one-off type events are always lots of fun.  Metallica and Bob Weir, the Rhythm Devils & their other friends on the same bill? That's cool, and in that great venue it will be very easy to walkabout and avoid the music that doesn't appeal to me.

And there will be dead heads there.

Because they're everywhere.

It's gonna' be a cool show.

Presale happening now. "RELIEF"

This looks horrible!

That grunt that guy from metallica does after every verse is really annoying.

Hey, its not about the lineup, its about the cause.  The Dead has many family members in the areas where the fire tore through so for them, personal. Parish lives up there, Mickey in Sebastapol, Ramrod used to live in Petaluma and many others.  I don't think I can go because of another commitment but at least it is cool and Daniel and the Tipping Point folks have a fund--so does the United Way Bay Area

Fade To Black Peter

Enter the Candyman

When I Paint My Master of Puppets

Blues For Whom The Bell Tolls (I'll admit that one is a stretch)

If the thunder don't get you then Ride the Lightning

That's the spirit Uncle Sam!

It's gonna' be a trippy night for sure.

>>>This looks horrible<<<

They can't all have Sless & Molo.

Fire On The Mountain>

Burning Down The House

Can't forget the time The Dead played Nothing Else Matters also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASuxILEGCyA

Man, remember when Billy + Mickey actually sounded like drummers? They still pretty much had it in 04 and even kind of in 09. The drumming at Fare Thee Well and at DeadCo now is just so incredibly limp, like at any second they might stop playing.
