The great Frank Layden did a
The great Frank Layden did a promo for my radio show back in the mid-80's and we used "Basketball Jones" for the promo.
In the promo, I offer to play a request for Frank, he requests the song, and I cut to "I need someone to set a pick for me at the free-throw line of life". He responds "Ah now we're cookin'."
He's a great guy. Bought him a bottle of vodka to thank him, and we broke into it at the radio station after one of his "Coach's Show" on Monday nights.
