Ben and Jerrys

Forums:

Is Cherry Garcia the best flavor of all time or only the best  because Wavy Gravy was discontinued?

Chocolate fudge brownie over here

Chunky Monkey does the trick

Karamel Sutra is good too

I think I have to go with Phish Food. There's something about that ewey-gooey caramel and marshmallow with chocolate hunks that's pretty unbeatable.

Peanut Butter Cup by a mile

Karamel Sutra LOL

Never heard of that one but I don't eat B & J's

Really Fresh Peach

Reverse Chocolate Chunk

Never cared for Cherry Garcia

Non-dairy Phish Food is pretty good.

all the non-dairy shit is fully bomb

the ones i like best

the kapernick one

mint chocolate cookie

caramel almond brittle

choc fudge brownie

I have Cherry Garcia and Chocolate Fudge Brownie in my freezer right now, but I've also been liking the Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz lately.

I also recently tried their Pistachio Pistachio and liked it a lot. Like it could be an instant ATF. Of course, my local market has been out of it since then, but I'll keep looking.

My Ben & Jerry's favorite is/was Chubby Hubby but it appears to have been discontinued.

I just learned that B&J has a flavor graveyard page where you can vote to resurrect discontinued flavors.

https://www.benjerry.com/flavors/flavor-graveyard

I live about a mile from the factory, and the local grocery store has almost no non-dairy options. The flip side is that I can go to the factory scoop shop and get all sorts of flavors that they don't put in pints.

I wonder if you can still get discontinued flavors in occupied territories.

The Virtue Signal Creme Brulee is to die for.

I gave up eating that stuff for the most part when I decided to give up sugars and lose some weight, but I do like the Caramel Sutra and the New York Super Fudge Chunk and the Stephen Colbert Americone Dream too.

The Wild Maine Blueberry was the most disgusting ice cream ever made. I do t know how they made blueberries and cream taste bad, but they did.

I gave up eating that stuff for the most part when I decided to give up sugars and lose some weight,

I'm on a anti inflammatory diet that prohibits sugar but I'm giving myself a cheat day. You have to enjoy the finer things (in smaller portions) now and then.

> I wonder if you can still get discontinued flavors in occupied territories.

When you multiply two negative numbers, you get a positive number, so it seems like you should be able to get discontinued flavors in occupied territories.

Pints here usually $1.99 or 2 for 5. sometimes limited choices but no sales tax.

long way from Waterbury

Just finished a pint of Whiskey Biz last night.  Kinda nasty.

Ice cream was meh.  Ganache topping awful.  Glad it was only around $2.

ChGarcia and Chocolate Fudge Brownie for the win (pints).

They used to have a coconut/choc/almond thing in the shops; then they F'd with it, adding things no one asked for.  Or maybe they did.

Has anyone tried Jeni's Ice Cream? They have a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake flavor I'm dying to try someday, but if I wanted to buy some I'd have to mail order it for an arm and a weenie

1 for 1.99 and 2 for 5?  Wtf kind of math is that?

Never less than $3.50 a pint anywhere you go.  Most times over $5.

The best ice cream product from VT is the Biggy Iggy.  There is NO other ice cream sandwich like it.  The Chewey Louie is with a brownie instead of a cookie.

I said or, not and

yeah I got a spot. What?

Stores here rotate sales between Ben and Jerry's and Haagen Dazs. One or the other is always 2.99, but HD is for fascists. Why else would Rum Raisin still exist? Could a flavor BE more KKK?

Haagen Dazs killed Jerry.

Haagen Dazs puts raisins and mini marshmallows in potato salad and brings it to the bbq.

$2.88 is the magic number around here.  Usually applies to two/three of the five/six "premium" pints fighting for space (B&J and HD get the bulk of the real estate).

White Russian was the best B&J flavor.

Yikes...Jeni's is $12 a pint. I think I'll stick with Ben and Jerry after all.

The actual best ice cream sandwiches are from Nancy's yogurt (Springfield creamery) and sold only in person at the Oregon country fair.

if you know, you know

Haagen Dazs Rum Raisin...Now With More Cops!

Frozen Yogurt? GTFO my thread ya hippie!!!

Do they spike the OCF sammys with a little of Bear's finest?

No, it's ice cream. Nancy's is the brand. Nancy is the boss. They make the batch once a year.

I guess you didn't know

there is a documentary in the sunshine daydream box set bonus content about Nancy's/ Springfield creamery history actually, quite good.

When I want to wreck my intestines the next day I like New York Super Fudge Chunk.
Back when I had a starring role in Cider House Rules, I'd ride a bicycle after work down the road to the mom and pop grocer.  Being in Vermont they sold B&J factory seconds at a deep discount.  Some of the pickers would eat two pints a night in addition to beer.   Ah to be young, indestructible, and do 8-10 hours of cardio a day. Those were the days when you never had to watch what you ate...

lol Bss I was pulling your leg. I lived in Oregon and am familiar with the creamery & it's associations

Got me

But I actually quit dairy a while now. 7 years?

I would cheat that for one of those sandwiches

Why'd you quit dairy?

Jesus, B&J is generally $5.99 here, sometimes on sale for $3.99.

When my daughter worked there she's get to bring home 3 free pints a day of seconds. At one point I had over 30 pints in the freezer.

There's an outfit out of LA that makes some amazing ice cream, Cool Haus. The Molten Chocolate Lava Cake is unreal, and the fig/balsamic/marscapone is just as good.

Planet Oat has a mint chocolate chip fudge swirl that's damn good. It's full fat.

I heard that, trailhead, but I still cheat now and then and just suffer the after effects.

Those are still the prices in the right wing grocery stores here Bk

we shop at the hippy store of course

i just can't get my guts to agree with it willows. Eventually gives me the refluxes and pukey stuff.
Cheese was *by far* the hardest thing to give up, and also the hardest thing to replace.

I only eat ice cream when depressed.

I can't really do much dairy, so it's rare that I have more than a spoonful of real ice cream. But damn, now I have a hankering to run up to the scoop shop and get a pint of non-dairy.

I worked with a woman who swears going vegan cured her psoriasis.

I *mostly* quit dairy, refined flour, sugar, alcohol, red meat... and feel a lot healthier - but do feel like I'm being punished when I can't have sour cream on my burrito. Guac only goes so far in cutting the hot sauce.

*I firmly believe cheating is important part of staying on a anti-inflammatory diet long-term. Ice cream is a huge part of that philosophy

>I said or, not and.

Conjunction junction whats your function....

Either way, B&J isn't $2 a pint.   It just isn't.  Every store in the north east stocks their product...never is it $2 a pint.   & 2 plus 2 = 4.

I still stand by my statement about the Biggy Iggy.

Wait.... you quit dairy 7 years ago but are going to quote prices at me?   Lol...... dude.....

i said i eat the non dairy kind jonas.

can/do you seriously not read? for fucking real?

and now I'm a liar too?

enough.

I think a pint of BJ's is $3.99 at my local Super.

$4.99 a pint for B&J at my local market.

> I only eat ice cream when depressed.

I only eat ice cream in the summer. That's a lingering remnant of my New England upbringing I suppose.

The non dairy is even more expensive.     I never called you anything and we're talking ice cream.  Don't make a clown of yourself.

Well I drive a diesel too but I still know how much a gallon of unleaded costs.

...And here lately I actually thought poor Jonas had been making something of an effort to up the quality of his zoning.

Unless this is you just punching up

but really I think you just hate where you get your Ben and Jerry's

And even chewy louie can kick iggy biggy's ass

everybody knows that

Ted Cruz hates Ben and Jerrys. More evidence that Hagen Dazs is for fascists

Talenti Gelato ...

>>>>> but I've also been liking the Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz lately.

>>>>> I also recently tried their Pistachio Pistachio and liked it a lot.

Both of these.

the pistachio would be better if they didn't use whole pistachios.  chop them up and spread them around.

full disclosure:  i haven't had any ice cream in 6 or 7 years.

Troll thread.

Let me guess, Racket: Vanilla?

lmao Mike

If it weren't for Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, I wouldn't have ever seen The Band live for free.

I was wrong. B&J is $5.99 at my local market, not $4.99. Still no Pistachio, but I got a fresh Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz and a Karamel Sutra. I haven't had that one in quite a while.

Nah I prefer American Dream.

I'm going to try the non dairy BSS suggested. Idgaf it it's more expensive, I'll feel slightly less guilty than I would cheating with dairy and sugar, and I like supporting companies that host free concerts in GGP heart

>>>>all the non-dairy shit is fully bomb

Agreed.   Wish they had more flavors cause the covid made me eat a lot of this stuff.

fuck ben and jerry's corporate garbage poison ice cream. they sold out.

now owned by Unilever

They've been owned by Unilever for well over a decade. B&J still has a corporate mission that is fantastic, and they follow it.

>fuck ben and jerry's corporate garbage poison ice cream. they sold out.

harsh. anything to do with them canceling sales in 'Occupied Palestinian Territory'  Israel? The left leaning company is taking a stance against Israeli treatment of Palestinians that seems to ruffle a few feathers.

Ben n Jerry - Cofee Toffe  Bar Crunch

hdz - Chocolate Peanut Butter - this is the best of the chocolate peanut butter ice creams, get them peanut butter cups the fuck out of my ice cream. I want melted peanut butter mixed in the chocolate ice cream. I have even made my own cuz hdz is so expensive. Let some chocolate ice cream get real soft and then throw some peanut butter in the microwave and then mix them together and thro back in the freezer.

I have replaced my ice cream Jones with Sugar Free Popsicles (classic orang, cherry, grape)

Corporate b&j's? Not me.

I only eat organic ice cream. And not very often. It is tough cause ice cream is one of my favorite food groups....

Fabes, sugar free anything will give you cancer. Stay the fuck away from artificial sweeteners.

I eat 100% organic juice sicles. Still sugar but at least it's not processed.

Are they (added) sugar-free because they're just juice?

>>> sugar free anything will give you cancer. Stay the fuck away from artificial sweeteners.  <<<

sugar free anything will MAY give you cancer. Stay the fuck away from artificial sweeteners. It also may not. There's no guarantee that it will.

edit: I was typing about juice at the same time you were, Mark.

Sure. No guarantees. Take your chances if you feel lucky......

Your not taking my cancer sticks away from me.

Don't really like B+Js - too much stuff in most of the flavors. I eat ice cream 2 or 3 times a week. I never look at the price, I usually get Breyer's Natural Vanilla. Only 5 ingredients - milk, cream, sugar, veg. gum, natural flavor (vanilla in this case).

Half Baked or stfu.

Ben & Jerry's enduring a Zionist shit storm for announcing they will not sell their ice cream in the occupied territories. Time to buy a few pints of Cherry Garcia.

https://news.yahoo.com/gop-lawmakers-want-cancel-ice-224028754.html

Gaza Rocket Ripple with the finest Palestinian mocha nougat rocks.

Now I got that Joe Jackson cancer song stuck in my head... thanks MarkD.

not a big fan. not enough ice cream, too much other junk.

i like pistachio, mint choc chip...vanilla.

i don't want all that other shit.

Byers is ice milk.
Best bang for the buck is Turkey Hill.  Lots of flavors, at the most $5 for a 3rd of a gallon.  99% for the kids.. If I thrown down a bowl later at night I need the keys to the bathroom.

Googly -- I was just listening to One More Time by Joe Jackson.  Haven't heard his name in years. Funny that you mentioned him the day after I was asked to learn to play the song.

>Ben & Jerry's enduring a Zionist shit storm for announcing they will not sell their ice cream in the occupied territories. Time to buy a few pints of Cherry Garcia.<

Certainly! But it is quite funny watching the notoriously hypocritical GOP try to cancel stuff after making the  claim that they wanted to end "cancel culture". Same Ole Same Ole.

No big deal - same reason I avoid Hobby Lobby, Chick-Filet, etc. but it does seem kind of stupid to potentially alienate or turn off a significant portion of one's customer base by boldly stating political views. See also MyPillowAss.
