I've been enjoying various shows from the Autzen and MSG run. The band sounds energetic and revived with that nicely weathered character. Phil sounds great and Vince even sounds enjoyable through much of what Ive listened to. What are some the highlights of '93? Seems somewhat of an underrated year. There are certainly many sloppy and off nights, but the ones with Jerry on point seem especially satisfying for the 90's.
Was this the first GD show with the new Bolt guitar?

Nice. Was it as prestigious as it's made out to be?

The RFK shows in DC were my last East Coast GD shows. They were both solid. Then I moved to Arcata, catching the Autzen Stadium shows along the way. Fun times.

The 3-17 St. Paddy's Day show
The 3-17 St. Paddy's Day show at the Cap Centre was very good, and featured the debut of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. The 2 shows at the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill were high energy and full of solid playing. The year closing trio of shows at the Oakland Auditorium were all good. Some consider those the last decent GD homestand.

theres no way listening to the tapes of those autzen shows can capture the absolute insane magic of that weekend. There's still reverberations to this day in Eugene from that weekend.

The Spectrum show takes the #1 spot for me, just a great night in my home hall where I saw my first show in '73. Seats right up by the stage on Jerry's side, and less than a month after I got married. If they had played The Other One instead of Easy Answers it would have been perfect. It also had a Tubular Bells jam out of space, the Cap Center show had a Two Soldiers jam in it.
