Any pool sharks in here?
I first got into pool when I was a freshman in college in 2006. I spent hours at the pool hall and did a lot of reading on technique and stuff... had a blast playing in leagues around campus and made a lot of friends through the hall. I really loved getting baked and just spending hours shooting around with my friends. Sometimes, I would spin my poolstick like a double-edged lightsaber (ala Darth Maul) and get carried away.
Hoping to join a league once I find a job that takes me off the road.
Who plays?
8 ball/ 9 ball?

I'm no shark but I enjoy playing pool.
Used to play in a league for a bar,every Sunday night we'd play another bar.
One week at home the next on the road.
I don't play much anymore but I still have my Sneaky Pete.

Straight pool used to be my
Straight pool used to be my favorite game, it was what everyone gambled on when I first started playing in the early 80s. All my first money matches (and wins) were playing straight pool. Then Color of Money exploded on the national conscience and everybody wanted to play 9ball...so it was thousands and thousands and thousands of games of 9 ball, never really liked the game (too much slop) but that's what they played...then it turned into whole lot of 8ball, which I don't (or didn't) care for at all...eventually my dislike of 8ball and 20+ years of pool hall & bar burn out caused me to take a much-needed hiatus, which lasted almost 7 years... Now I am back at it (March will be 3 years) with a brand new attitude and true love for the game. I no longer care about gambling or even what game I am playing. I just want to play as good as I can while my aging body will let me...

I'll whip anybody in this mothafucka at some stick.
I grew up in a pool hall...used to go and have to drag my daddy off the tables when I got old enough to enter the bar.
He started teaching me at the age of 4.
As I got older on weeknends at the hall all I tried to do was beat my dad at pool.
Some nights I got Hot and I could take him but most of the time he bested me.
I think I still owe him like $50,000.00
Ive had a table in my house most of my life but unfortunately not now.
I love the game.
