60th Anniversary.  SF makes sense.  Billy has been teasing the Dead riffs lately (Other One on NYE).  Every one knows he is going to bust out the Grateful Dead at some point.  People will be freeking out, taking off their clothes . . .

And you can highlight Utah (upper right).  That would make a fun road trip.

What a shit show.   Did the double laptop thing again.   My partner was able to get tickets for Thursday, but nothing left for Friday when it was my turn.   Will try again for general sale.  

Funny thing, our Thursday tix say "Three Day Pass" although the price was for a single day.  Is it magic or too good to be true?  Just hoping this misprint doesn't come back to haunt us.

Good work Tim's wife.  Billy's hometown shows will be a barn burner for sure.

Glad you are in Bobstar.   Yeah, let's try to meet up for WSP and Billy.  Then we can double snub Tim.

Thanks Zooey.  I saw similar posts on Reddit.   I told my partner that it sounded too good to be true and apparently it is.   Will have to set the alarm really early on Friday to make sure we get a good spot in the queue to get tix for the rest of the run.  At least we are in for Thursday.  

And it ended up being a good thing that Billy is kicking off the tour in St. Augustine and playing there early April rather than 4/20.   We are already going down to Florida in February to see our parents and then hit some JRAD shows in Georgia and again in March for Widespread Panic.   Three separate trips down to Florida in quick succession wasn't feasible plus there are strong rumors that Phish is playing Portland on 4/20.  But having Billy play the first week in April just means just adding another week to our existing WSP trip.

Thursday pre-funk at the Bodega.  4:20 pm (EST).   20-25 minute walk to the venue depending on whether you go through the old Spanish quarry swamp or stroll down that avenue that's known A1A.   

Can't miss it.  Right next door to Gypsy Cab Co. on A1A.  Zoners welcome and you can park in the neighborhood.

Well that sucked.   AXS lets you join the waiting room a half-hour early and that's what I did.  Right on the second.  Seemed to work, because I got to the ticket selection screen pretty fast.   But even then, there was hardly any seats left and each time I clicked on some seats, they were no longer available.  After 45 seconds of frantic clicking, an error occurred and kicked me back out.  Got back in quick but nothing left.   One of the fastest sell outs I have seen in my whole show going career.

At least we are in for Thursday.   And for the next night, I can cover myself with bug spray and listen to the show from the swampy woods right next to the venue.   Great sound.

Thanks Bobstar.  I just bit the bullet and got Friday tix on Stubhub.  At least Billy's base price is low enough that it didn't break the bank and was only $37 per ticket more than what it would cost normally.   Worth it not to fuck around waiting for Cash & Trade alerts, etc.    

Glad you you are in for Sunday night WSP.   Last year's Sunday show was outstanding and 75% less douchebagery in the crowd than the previous two nights with the various frat contingents having gone home by then.
