Assume a Panic sit in.  40th anniversary of wsmfp and given the recent collaborations it would make sense to me.

MF BS!!!

Big Bob Tribute!

First time Billy Band has played a GD song in almost four years.

Long Forgotten Dream really kicked it out for me. Awesome first set. Crossing Muddy Waters continues to give me the willies in a good way, exquisite songwriting, but damn that song is dark as the grave. I'm happy the GD ban lifted a little bit. Keep those songs alive. Hoping to hear some of those new songs soon.

Notes

Today marks the first show of 2026, the first after receiving a Grammy for Highway Prayers, and the first after announcing the next album has been recorded.

It’s also the 40th anniversary of widespread panic and would be Bob Marley’s 81st birthday.

Jarrod’s introduction included an eye of the tiger tease

Encore consisted of a Bob Weir tribute. We love you Bobby - and billy mf strings does too

Ain’t Life Grand, Widespread Panic walk off tunes

To be technical to all the Teat followers, neither of his Weir tributes are GD songs so his comment still holds

Cassidy isn't a GD song? Neal Cassidy's b-day is tomorrow. Me and My Uncle is technically not a GD song but also technically the most played song by the GD being performed ovcer 600 times live.

Thanks for the video link. Krab.

Alex sounds a bit like Vasser Clemens on that Uncle.

It was funny to see a couple of folks looking like they were making a fast exit during the final bows.   Vendors heading off to Shakedown?

Cassidy was recorded for Ace, Weirs solo album so technically no. It's a Weir solo tune. And named for Cassidy Law, hence the different spelling..Technically speaking of course ... like Deal and The Wheel are Garcia tunes..

Aren't the Grateful Dead all on Ace?  Jerry played everything on Garcia except BK's drums.

Yep but still solo albums.. again, technically speaking... he chose those songs well.

Neardtastic GD discussion.  Good work.  Technically, Bird Song, To Lay Me Down, Deal, Loser,  the Wheel, and Sugaree aren't Dead songs either because they are from the Garcia album, which, unlike Ace, was just a Jerry except for BK on drums.

Carry on and wish I was there last night.  Looking forward to St Augustine.

Exactly Ken, I stated a couple of those as examples ...that's why both were perfect choice to still stay "off the Teat"

> Cassidy was recorded for Ace

As was Playing in the Band, which was released on Skull & Roses in September 1971, seven months before Ace came out. Surely, PITB is a GD song.

But he didn't play that...

tbf the whole teat thing was referring to GD cover bands, he didn't want his band to end up being known for GD covers instead of their original music.

I don't think his band is in any danger of being the next DSO, and appreciate the occasional GD cover

I thought it was a great tribute

Andy's calling it a Bob Weir cover, so you win this round, fishcane

lol i call them dead tunes as much as the next person, I was only offering a counter to all those "guess teats back on again" caller outters that seem to think Billy is going back on his word (not here) ... I think it was well played, perfect choices

Guessing from Billy's insta tease we're getting drums tonight

Ah well. No drums, but a great set list!

I thought Psycho> Creek and the Highway Hypnosis/ Gild segments were pretty excellent

Whole two night run was pretty excellent.  The boys are on fire.  But still waiting for some new songs.
