8 PM CST

I think that is 10 PM EST 7 PM West.

Thanks Stu. Passed it along to a friend also. After, he told me he caught streams from The Dusters, Steep Canyon Rangers and Billy Strings all in one night.

Dern good stuff right there. Caught 2 shows in Grand Rapids, MI last weekend. Outstanding fiddler John Malander (sp?) joined them for both nights. A talented group for sure and great show for 15 bucks.

What were consecutive shows like, cornbread? Lots of repeats or did he vary his sets much?

This band kicks butt. I've recommended getting them for the bluegrass headliner at the Utah Arts Fest in June, before we can't afford them.

I like the ticket prices, too. We paid $20 and CD's at the merch table were only $12. After seeing him at Targhee, I knew $20 was a deal.

Coming to Asbury Park NJ mid-December,  15-16 bucks.  Might pick up an advance ticket today if I head down for the Sunday free Music.

See how the Weather develops later.

who/what is this that i have seen reference to?

Bluegrass picker Billy Strings. Great picker, great band. Go see them. Mighty fine, mighty fine. Plenty of You Tube videos.

After one incredibly long killer jam with "Me and My Uncle" in it right after intermission at the SLC show, he mentioned getting back to the bluegrass by referring to the jammy stuff as "LSD stuff".

He encored with "Bird Song".

Slickrock, no repeats in the two consecutive shows I saw.

They ended set 1 night 2 with Deal, opened set 2 with Bird Song and played a Me and My Uncle sandwiching a spacey instrumental and I think an original song back into Me and My Uncle.

No Dead songs on night 1 so they are by no means a dead cover band, they just dig good songs. Bluegrass with a psychedelic bent.

I suggest booking them. If you can get the fiddler even better.

You like, Turtle.

They also cover String Cheese and Phish a lot. They're like a cover band of a Keller Williams cover band.

Thanks for the response, Cornbread. Here's a link to their setlists https://www.phantasytour.com/bands/billy-strings/setlists  Your Grand Rapids show are in there.

Yeah, everyone's on board with booking them. Just gotta work it out now.

The album Turmoil & Tinfoil has a psychedelic hidden track, and a not so hidden one with Billy talking through a little DMT trip.

a cover band as much as the grateful dead were a cover band

Don't know if Billy Streams tonite.
Been asleep before 11 PM lately -- old age.

Maybe Ghostlight ?

Trey starts Solo tour in Mesa,  AZ.

He's so original.
