Anybody up in here into Blackberry Smoke? I've caught them live 3 times now and they are really growing on me. Excellent musicians and great song writing. Nice mix of ballads and rockers... not really country, not really rock, not really blues, but a good mix of everything.

Went to see them in
Went to see them in Jacksonville with Allman-Betts Band opening about four years ago at Daley's Place right next to the stadium. Allman-Betts was great but then we waited, waited, and waited for Blackberry Smoke when an announcement finally came on that the show was canceled. This was when they were testing for Covid left and right and apparently someone in the band tested positive. At least I got a full refund, but haven't had a chance to see them again.

Didn't know about the Weir
Didn't know about the Weir connection! I've been working on a home project and did a deep dive on them before going to see them a couple weeks ago. The show was fantastic. As some said I saw them as an opening act years ago but now as a headliner they have seasoned like a fine wine. Threw in some snippets of cover tunes in the middle of songs like Midnight Special and Willin/Dont Bogart That Joint... good fun. I read that they got their name from Chris Robinson. Warren produced one of their albums and appeared on some tracks. They are the first independently released artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album charts in modern history and have appeared with or worked with tons of major artists... It's southern rock, not usually my forte... but I really enjoyed them this time.
