What Zoner is that?

I think that's Hollywood Nights(Mainstreet).

One of the good ones.

Always against the wind around here.

Oh, I remember him.  Dude was like a rock.

Jerry / Vince Herman

David Nelson's little brother?

"What a fool believes"- Love that song

MainStreetVan still share his glory around here?

Whoever he is, he tends to hang with this guy.

Scarlet Fire Down Below and Against The 4Winds were among the best of us.

<<<Oh, I remember him.  Dude was like a rock

lol. yup.

my guess is he's still the same.

one thing I never figured out was why he didnt go by "Shakedown" here.

Missed opportunity.

I heard he had to get out of Denver because he might be a commie

Guess it time to turn the page...

>Jerry / Vince Herman

On a side note I saw Leftover Salmon this weekend at a fest in MA and they haven't lost a step.

Once had a friend (big Tull fan; mad air-flutist) tell me Seger/SVB was "the best concert I've ever seen."

Also, I've played on Down Main Street  twice with Who Knows.

Went to one Seger show. One of the worst crowds imaginable.

I Love The Legend Bob !! Night Moves................! yes

I like Night Moves. yes

I do not know about now but in the late 70’s and early 80’s he put on a hell of a rock show. Straight up rock and roll for about 3 hours

He has better songs than Bruce.

I would not say that, but his shows were very Bruce/gheils band like marathons

Yup^...new haven...w the cars opening...played for almost exactlty 3, i blv...if memory serves me...coulda been htfd same year, but, no opener

Say what you will, you can say he's over the hill, but the man knows how to play Rock&Roll.

Against The Wind IS A Masterpiece Song ! Get Out Now ! yes

Here comes old Rosie she's looking mighty fine
Here comes hot Nancy she's steppin' right on time
There go the street lights bringin on the night
Here come the men faces hidden from the light
All through the shadows they come and they go
With only one thing in common
They got the fire down below

Here comes the rich man in his big long limousine
Here comes the poor man all you got to have is green
Here comes the banker and the lawyer and the cop
One thing for certain it ain't never gonna stop
When it all gets too heavy
That's when they come and go
With only one thing in common
They got the fire down below

It happens out in Vegas happens in Moline
On the blue blood streets of Boston
Up in Berkeley and out in Queens
And it went on yesterday and it's going on tonight
Somewhere there's somebody ain't treatin' somebody right

And he's looking out for Rosie and she's looking mighty fine
And he's walking the streets for Nancy
And he'll find her everytime
When the street light flicker bringing on the night
Well they'll be slipping into darkness slipping out of sight
All through the midnight
Watch 'em come and watch 'em go
With only one thing in common
They got the fire down below

Straight from Bob...love to watch her strut was written for Jane Fonda

Ka Ka Ka Ka Ka Katmandu!

Saw him in the early 90s in Hartford

It was a good show and I was surprised at how many songs I knew

Personally I would rather see a Steve Miller show than a Bob Seger show.

But that's just me.

What does Bob Seger have against the Northeast?

Not a fan myself,  but there has to be some Seger fans in the Northeast.

I think that He is sticking to the MidWestern roots & FanBase which have always been the Bread & Butter.

However, ...

:...01/22 – Peoria, IL @ Peoria Civic Center
01/29 – Billings, MT @ Rimrock Auto Arena
01/31 – Boise, ID @ Ford Center
02/02 – Portland, OR @ Moda Center
02/09 – Seattle, WA @ Tacoma Dome..."

So what BS & SVB are saying there is "Here We Are BigFootland, and we are Big."
By 'BigFootLand'  I mean the places between Billings & Seattle.  That is all Sasquatch Territority.

^i get his midwest appeal,  but one more week on the road and he could hit DC, Philly, NY, and Boston. That's a lot of disappointed Seger fans.

What does Bob Seger have against the Northeast?

Not a thing. One look at that schedule and one can tell there will be Northeast dates. Can't do a farewell tour without Philly, Boston and NYC.

Where do you think that he'll fit in those dates?  No back to back shows.

Where do you think that he'll fit in those dates?  No back to back shows.

My guess would be either in April or May of 2019.

No Detroit shows should seem peculiar...

From his site;

"Additional shows will be announced in the coming weeks, including dates in Las Vegas, Fresno, San Diego, Vancouver, Florida and more."

In 2017 he announced his "one night only - one last return to Pine Knob" Farewell Show which turned into one night at Pine Knob and then one night at the Palace to close that arena down, which then became a bunch of dates and a tour until his back required surgery.

For his 2011 tour (in Toronto anyway) - his show was promoted as "top price of $99" which they were - but it was also the first time I had observed a clearly executed "all seats are the same price - so we're going to start with the tickets at the back of the arena and make our way forward" so fans who bought on the first day of sales picked up mediocre seats at best in the belief the show was selling out at 10:02 on the first day of sales. Better and better seats became available the closer to show time. Not just pairs of seats or holds for the artist - but whole sections would come online at once.

For his '17 Pine Knob show, all of the tickets were sold through his fanclub which required payment to join. Of course this was when it was announced as his only show - his one last farewell, etc.. and it sold out in minutes. Gotta feed the hype machine.

>My guess would be either in April or May of 2019.

I'll be on the look out. Seger has always been a non guilty pleasure of mine.
